What I Read In March And April 2026.
Oh my gosh – I am so behind in updating you on what I’ve been reading! Here’s everything I’ve read since March… and I will share May’s list in a few weeks. In the meantime, next week you can find my big summer reading list. Love this time of year!
What are you reading?!
Most of these books are linked through bookshop (if available!) and I highly suggest shopping through there because it will support your local indie bookstore. You can choose the local bookstore to support! I support Penguin Books when I buy which is my fave here in Pittsburgh.
I have a book of the month membership – I love it so much. I read SO many books from this box. I get so many of my new releases and debut author books there. You can sign up for one here.
What IÂ Read In March & April 2026
How To Write A Love Story – 4 stars
This one was lovely and heartbreaking and so good. Makes me want to take a trip to Ireland. In this book, we follow an author who loses her father. He was also an author and his dying with is for her to finish the last book of his series. This is a great enemy to lovers trope between the author and editor and I just loved it. So rom-com and seriously funny!
Into The Blue – 5 stars
This book was SO good. I loved the connection between the characters!! This story follows two actors who meet and have incredible chemistry – then one day, one of them disappears. The reason is heartbreaking and once we discover it – ah!!! I can’t even describe. There are time jumps and tons of yearning in this one. I loved it and even loved the ending.
Yesteryear – 5 stars
This was a wild ride! I absolutely loved this one – and maybe it’s because of the whole influencer plot but I think most people I know would enjoy it too. It’s crazy and a story I could not put down. In this book, we follow a tradwife influencer who has 6 kids, lives a idyllic life on a farm with her husband and has millions of followers. One day she wakes up in 1855 and her life is no longer as she knows it – now it’s completely different. This will keep you reading until the end and it’s SO good.
Laws of Love and Logic – 4 stars
Oh my gosh, another good one! This is actually my favorite kind of storyline – torn between first love and current love. We follow Lily who finds herself stuck between her long lost first love and her husband. Some of the details (her husbands job!) would lose my a little bit and I’d find it slightly slow. But it picked up and is enjoyable, albeit very emotional.
Mad Mabel – 4 stars
I have so many good books from my book of the month boxes and this is one. It is such a fun read. We follow Mabel who – at a very young age and very old age – happens to have people die around her. She befriends a little girl who is super curious about finding out who she is. It’s SO funny. We have a then and now timeline, the little girl is just absolutely wonderful and while I did figure out the hook, it didn’t make it any less great. A little predictable but so good.
Annie Knows Everything – 3.5 stars
This is a super cute one and I enjoyed it. We follow Annie who is fun and interesting and definitely a know-it-all. She fakes her background/skills for a job and ends up butting heads with the department head. They have great banter and it’s super cute. I liked the coworkers too! It’s a fun workplace/office romance that is quick and cute.
This Story Might Save Your Life – 3.75 stars
Another book of the month choice for me! In this book, we follow podcast hosts that tell survival stories and who one day go missing. Like they are in their own survival story. This is a mix of a mystery and romance, so right up my alley! There were a few twists and it was definitely full of secrets. It actually made me think and wish that this was a real podcast – like the hosts were my friends!
Dear Debbie – 4 stars
You can see I was definitely in a thriller mood the last few weeks! I love a Freida McFadden book – the twists are always crazy. This book follows an author of an advice column who is a little nuts and can snap in a heartbeat. The twists and turns of this story are crazy! She unravels and seriously it is funny sometimes – and unbelievable.
My Husband’s Wife – 3.5 stars
Oh this is a twisty one. This book goes back and forth – today and 6 months earlier. We follow a women who lives in a small town, goes for a run, comes back and can’t get into her house. A woman opens the door, claiming to be her! Oh it’s crazy and everyone is nuts. It really kept me on my toes. The ending is also nuts and I actually had to go on a reddit forum to see if I understood it correctly! That being said, it did hold my attention, like any wacky book does!
StrangersÂ
I listened to this one after my cousin recommended it. Absolutely loved it, it was completely crazy. I don’t like to gives stars to memoirs since it’s a personal account but this was a very strong read for me! I definitely recommend it. The author tells the story of how her husband tells her he is leaving during covid. You won’t be able to stand him!
Come To The Edge
This is where we start my Love Story watching/reading obsession, ha. I listened to this while watching Love Story – I’ve always been interested in everything Kennedy related and had never read this one. I liked the perspective because she knew him at such a young age. The relationship also seemed so volatile in a way. I found it interesting!!
What Remains
This one here was heartbreaking and I fully expected it. Carole wrote this after the plane crash and her husband died within three weeks of each other and I just can’t imagine. This was very personal and I loved learning more about her and Anthony’s story. And it felt very intimate since she was closest to JFK Jr and Carolyn. I’m not a real housewives watcher so I never knew about the book before!
The Fabulous Bouvier Sisters
Had to read this one about Jackie and Lee!! I’ve always been obsessed with Jackie but Lee’s style is way more my kind of thing and I adore it. Also very interesting learning about their upbringing, their dynamic (crazy!) and very competitive sisterhood. I had NO clue about that and it’s funny – my first paper I ever wrote in 6th grade was on Jackie, but we weren’t searching the internet during that time and my information could only be found in the library books!
