Tuesday Things.
1. The other day the worst thing in the world happened. I was drinking coffee and got to the end and found a bug in my glass. I mean. Just no. (Also pretty sure this happened to me once before. WHY?! It was a clean glass!)
2. Look at these cookies and cream ice cream drumsticks! OMG.
3. I know last week I said I wasn’t ready for fall but today we took a boat ride in 55 degree weather and then I had to go buy four blankets and more sweatshirts and let’s just say I was tempted to buy a pumpkin caramel candle.
4. Thoughts on Folklore from an 8 year old. This could be Emilia… ha! Side note: I am loving the album more and more and more every day! The kids love it so much too!
5. TV things! Still obsessed with Yellowstone but can I also just say that we stumbled upon It’s Complicated (one of my all-time fave movies ever!) on TV the other night and it still reigns supreme.
6. How the pandemic made everyone eat bread again. Crazy.
7. Who else wishes that right now you could see three years into the future to see what will be happening?! I don’t want to wish time away but the unknown year ahead has me spinning.
8. What is essential meaningful productivity. I love this!

I’m increasingly becoming obsessed with Folklore – which I didn’t expect. I am the same age as her – so her first CD came at the end of high school and was the soundtrack for me and my friends’ lives. As other CDs came out over the years I only liked a handful of songs. Safe to say Folklore has sucked me in and I keep telling my husband “LISTEN to these lyrics!!! This is brilliant!” I’m back on the train – ha. Also, I am the very old 30 year old soul that purchased the CD and am anxiously waiting for it.
I don’t understand how parents allow their children to listen to Taylor Swift. She talks about sex, drinking and romantic ideas that are not (in my opinion) for children. Yes she has happy fun songs – but to children under 16 to be exposed to this should be used with caution. The catchy tunes make children ignore the words they are singing.
I feel like this is similar to watching Grease as a kid, which I did several times. When I watch it now, I can’t believe how many sexual references there are, but as a kid I didn’t catch ANY of them. I know we all have different preferences for our kids though :)

Yellowstone – love it. Rip is my new man-crush. Jamie on the other hand, nope. no way. I truly can’t stand him. He’s such a baby. Beth is now my spirit animal.
I want Beth to be my spirit animal but I’m nowhere near as tough as she is. And Rip? Just. Yes.
Oh no, I know the feeling of finding a bug in your food at the end, it’s so horrible!
