How was everyone’s Turkey Day?

Mine was wonderful. With the risk of sounding like a broken record, I have the MOST amazing family in the world and am so incredible blessed.

At my parent’s house, we had an extra guest this year.

This is Opus. He is incredibly cute, devilish, and loves table scraps.

He and Winnie fought over the dropped goodies.

My uncle started the evening off right by filling the fruit bowls full of Chardonnay instead of fruit.

Fruit? Chardonnay? Same thing. It’s all going to the same place. Bottoms up.

I managed to hold myself to one plate at each of my Turkey dinner’s.

This here was vegetables, vegetables, more vegetables, and a side of carbs.

It was fantastic, and my belly button and elastic-waist pants are getting quite friendly at the moment.

I gorged myself on desserts, including this mini slice of pumpkin pie.

Then devoured 18 cupcakes.

My fruit dish wine glass was empty by this point, so I moved on to my husband’s. It was promptly drained, so I decided to celebrate the season with a Christmas Ale.

Have you even been to The Ugly Mug in Cape May? If so, and if it was in June sometime in the past 26 years, you most likely have seen my entire family obliterated enjoying themselves. It is one of our favorite places, and where my late grandfather sat drinking beer and looking at girls while we shopped.

After the Christmas Ale, I decided I didn’t need a new glass and filled up with more Chardonnay.

My cup runneth over. So did my big mouth.

It was a delicious, exciting, fulfilling, and pants-unbuckling day. I love it and am so blessed.

Trivia Friday #6!

Who is ready to win Martha’s cookies? This is your last chance this round!

Here are the guidelines:

-3 questions are posted Friday morning.

-You have until midnight (EST) Friday to qualify –leave your answer in the comments section.

-The comments will not be made public until Saturday. I will get it, but it will not appear. So please do not comment 324 times like I have in situations like these. One comment per person.

-Everyone who answers correctly will be entered into a drawing for an awesome prize EVERY MONTH. This means if you participate in FOUR trivia Fridays in one month, you have FOUR chances to win. I sure am good at math.

-The prize will be different each time and announced on the 15th of the month. It may be small, it may be big. It may be tangible or not. It may be a lock of my hair. Who knows? Either way, it will be announced mid-month.

-The winner will be randomly chosen and announced on the last day of the month. If the last day falls on a Friday, winner will be chosen Saturday.

Thank my brother for this super-fun idea.

Questions:

1. What did Romy and Michelle claim to invent in Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion?

2. What US President was nick-named American Caesar?

3. What was the name of the floating, green alien on The Flinstones?

LAST CHANCE TO WIN!

Ok, I love the idea of Trivia Friday except I am a dope and don’t know any of the answers on this one without cheating! :(

Opus and Winnie are such cute doggie names! So original and fun :) Looks like you had some wonderful food at your celebration! Happy (Black) Friday!

I’m glad you had a great one! But lol! 18 cupcakes? Wow! You win!

Sounds like the perfect Thanksgiving, Jessica. Ours was, too. Music, laughter, football, great food, and most of all lots of love. Everyone truly felt how special of a day it was.
