Four Things.

December 29, 2010 · 58 comments

I swiped this off Caitlin because well… I’ve been living in triple XL sweatpants for 4 days and reminiscing about having an old AOL email account where people would send me surveys every 13 seconds. The beginning of the downfall people.

1. Four TV shows that I watch:

  • True Blood
  • Boardwalk Empire
  • Big Love
  • Brothers and Sisters

(I have an HBO addiction.)

2. Four things that I’m passionate about:

  • writing
  • food
  • my family
  • health

3. Four words/phrases I use a lot:

  • Chocolate.
  • Cheese.
  • Exercise.
  • Bacon.

4. Four things I’ve learned from the past:

  • the grass isn’t always greener.
  • you and only you have the power to control your own destiny.
  • eating garbage makes you feel like garbage.
  • when you want what you’ve never had, you must do what you’ve never done. (-ben franklin, my favorite quote)

5. Four places I would like to go:

  • Rome
  • Greece
  • back in time to the Mad Men days
  • Heaven

6. Four things I did yesterday:

  • yoga
  • wrote
  • prayed
  • shopped

7. Four things I am looking forward to:

  • ringing in the new year and having an amazing 2011
  • spring and all that it entails
  • having a giant family one day
  • the day where I want to eat a vegetable

8. Four things I love about winter:

  • holidays
  • hot cocoa
  • warm blankets
  • burning fireplaces

Play along if you’d like. I’m going to continue sitting in a pile of blankets.

Oooh fun – I love that idea and it’s nice to learn odd things about people that you interact with but don’t really know. I might have to steal this idea sometime ;)

I love these kind of things. It really tells you so much about people! I love Big Love, but sadly got rid of HBO while it has been on break. I am from the Mad Men era and I love the Ben Franklin quote!

When does True Blood return?! I heard its theme song at Nordstrom the other day and got all reminiscent. HAHAH
And how much do you love Brothers & Sisters (or as I like to call it, “Bros & Sis’)…my mom got me into it this past year and I’ve recently caught up on it via my laptop and hulu.com. I was surprised by how much I got into it!!

Four things I did yesterday:
1. Watched Dawson’s creek
2. Took a yoga class with my mama
3. Got peppermint & gingerbread fro yo
4. Saw “Going the Distance” with friends

You are so right about feeling like garbage after eating garbage. If only I could remember that while baking. Or eating tons of cookies.

Sounds like the perfect day to me – yoga, praying, shopping, writing. I need more days like that!

Ok i love HBO as well but did you love it when the Sopranos and Sex and the City were on? Sopranos is my all time favorite! And I still haven’t figured out the picture thing on here, BUT i did manage to start my own little blog. Thanks to you, I got some courage and just did it! It doesn’t even compare to your cute blog but oh well :)

Reply

Jessica December 30, 2010 at 11:46 am

Oh girl… Obsessed doesn’t even begin to describe it. I still watch both almost daily and it is a tie for my most favorite show ever!

Reply

Jessica W December 30, 2010 at 3:27 pm

I agree! Best show ever!! Have you watched Nurse Jackie? Since I LOVE Edie Falco I had to give that one a try and it is pretty awesome.

Reply

Jessica December 30, 2010 at 10:27 pm

I haven’t! But I love Edie Falco too.

“Eating garbage makes you feel like garbage.” Too true! I am so sugared out right now, it’s hard to believe.

But I’m sure this post resonates with a lot of people, as it certainly does me.

Yeah, chocolate definitely has become a word I use a lot this year. Mostly because I was pregnant at the beginning of the year so for ten months or so I HATED chocolate (and didn’t feel like a true woman) and when I had my baby in September suddenly all I could think about was chocolate.

I love Boardwalk Empire! I’m a bit of an HBO addict myself. I watch True Blood, Bored to Death, and Eastbound and Down. I need to watch Big Love and Bro & Sis….or maybe I shouldn’t start anything new lest I be consumed by TV watching! lol

Reply

Jessica December 30, 2010 at 10:27 pm
