My dad and I have been stuck in New York City for over 24 hours. There is just a “little bit of snow.”
The good news? I had the best $14 mocha of my life and I don’t like coffee.
It’s the little things.

Ohhh that stinks!! It’s a white out here too…but I could cuddle up on the sofa with a blanket and that mocha and watch the snow fly!

Sorry to hear you’re stuck! I have friends supposed to fly from Boston to Hawaii today. yeah, so not happening. But I think it would be bearable with a drink like that

Well at least you got chocolate in some form out of being stranded. Hope you can leave soon, though!

Wow that is a bit steep, even for the BEST mocha. Sounds like you’re getting to spend lots of quality time with Dad How Sweet!

We had so much snow here in Colorado…my husband felt like putting GPS devices on both of us every time we took the trash out or went to mailbox in case we didn’t make it back to house and the snow plows needed to come find us.

I would hate being stuck somewhere. Kind of like I hate being stuck here in the hospital right now. Ready to go home! It gets boring here when baby B sleeps and sleeps.
And for the record – I would also hate to pay $14 for a mocha.
Reply
Kinda sucks that your stuck there!
At the same time, it makes me feel less guilty for not going to school there yesterday. I don’t think I would have made it back to jersey!
And $14?!
It better have been good!!
Reply
was there vodka in that mocha?

When the page loaded, I literally went “ooohhh!!”. That mocha looks GOOD!! Maybe even worth fourteen dollars?? Definitely possible :)

It’s the little (expensive) things… :) Seriously, soo much snow!

Oh my! I got stranded in NYC in the snow last winter! Hope you enjoy your extended stay! :)

I am a coffee freak, I would gladly pay $14 for a mocha…however, I don’t buy Oreos unless they are on sale. Priorities?
Safe travels.

I was stuck in Charlotte for two days, all by my lonesome so I FEEL your pain! I just got home today, thank freakin’ goodness!
Reply
For $14 bucks I’d expect that “mocha” to take me to dinner and a movie too.
Reply
I hope you get unstranded soon! That does look delicious though!! And there are worse places to be stuck that New York, eh?
Reply
That looks so yummy! You can stop by CT if you want…although I am no fun these days as all I can do is sit and huff and puff that I’ve so over this pregnancy. But any other time – I swear I’m a ton of fun!
Reply
I’d gladly trade spots with you! :)

Instead I’m stranded at home in my own snowpocalypse here in NS, with a chai latte. My own version I suppose haha

I guess if you could be stuck anywhere, NY would be the place to be.

A $14 mocha??! I can’t even imagine how good that must have been. I’m so jealous right now.
