This fish.
My mom made it. It was some sort of romano crusted fish. It was delicious. We paired it with roasted potatoes and fruit salad. I asked where the vegetables were and she looked at me like I was insane.
This burger.
Mr. How Sweet made me do it. It was a delicious decision.
This breakfast.
Mr. How Sweet made it. I laid on the couch.
Now if you need me, I’ll be on the treadmill forever.

I’m Jessica and this is where I share my stuff. You will find a balance of healthy recipes, comfort food and indulgent desserts.
Looks like a tasty weekend!

Yes! It was really good. I didn’t realize it, but I don’t think I had a burger in maybe… 6 months? It hit the spot. The one pictured is Mr. How Sweet’s!

That burger looks so damn good. I’ve heard a lot of great things about 5 Guys, but I’ve never been to one. I don’t think we have them in LA.

5 guys is my FAVORITE! And hooray for pancake-cooking husbands!

I have to thank you–you honestly make me feel sane! My husband seems to be frighteningly similar to Mr. Sweet–and I tend to over indulge at times. Most of the time, I get a healthy balance with sweets, working out and wine–but the past two weeks have consisted of your above posts. Thanks for reminding me that sometimes, tight jeans are ok…(as long as you work out extra hard the next week!) :)

I too did not do any cooking this weekend. It was enjoyable, and I will get my butt back on a treadmill tomorrow. You only live once, right?

Five Guys=best thing ever. Is it wrong to know what I know what their burgers and fries look like withing .5 seconds of looking at that picture? I would like to think not.

Oh my gosh, it is way to late at night to be checking your blog. I am drooling over the pancakes!!

First of all…I need that recipe for the fish!! My husband and kids won’t eat it but I’m determined to find A RECIPE they like. And secondly…I have those plates!!! I lived in Germany and drove all of the way to Nove, Italy to get them…love them and the little matching babies I bought to go with them.
Good taste in food AND dishes!

I laughed out loud when I read that you asked your mom where the vegetables were and she looked at you like you were insane! :-)
Aren’t 5 Guys burgers the best? I don’t eat burgers very often, but when I get the craving only a 5 Guys burger will do! Their fries are amazing, too! Not a meal you can eat everyday, though. Well- maybe Mr. How Sweet could! ;-)
Reply
I forgot to mention that your mom’s fish looks amazing! I would love that recipe (I see others do, too)! I hope she will share it with you so you can share it with us! :-)
In the meantime, I found this recipe for Parmesan Crusted Tilapia over at PW’s Tasty Kitchen. You could easily substitute Romano cheese for the parmesan cheese. It looks delicious!

I love when others cook! (probably because it rarely happens)

why are husbands constantly sabotaging good eating habits?? Tonight will be our 3rd dinner out celebrating my husband’s birthday and somehow leave my willpower in the car every time I go out to eat.
Not that eating an entire basket of chips and salsa won’t give you chisled abs…

I love when people make me (or buy me) yummy foods to eat. It’s nice to be able to put my feet up and take a break from cooking sometimes!
Reply
It has been WAY too long since I have had a burger!!!

Wow, all these rave reviews for 5 Guys. I guess I just HAVE to go now and try one for myself. I’ll take one for the team… :)
