Now please excuse me while I go remove my dentures and put on my housecoat.
We’re gonna need to have a portable ipod player in Austin. You bring your music and I’ll bring mine. Mine is equivalent to a 12 year old girl. so we can even each other out.
Adele and Bublé? I completely approve of this list.
Is your housecoat the stiff quilted kind? The ones that can stand up on their own? The ones so tough you could do battle in them? That might date you a little…
I love that you have Peg by Steely Dan — my brother in law is a HUGE Steely Dan fan, so usually in the car they will listen to those CDs. My 4 year old niece knows every word to Peg and it cracks me up to hear her sweet little voice sing that song!
(and I love “will you still love me tomorrow”)
I don’t know some on the list but Tom Petty & Rod Stewart = <3<3!!
I love me some old music!
Uh…where’s all the Ke$ha?
Oh wait, did I just admit something embarrassing?
Never EVER take music advice from me.
I don’t know looks like a pretty darned good play list to me!! Maybe that just means I am old too then…. darn!
come fly with my is one of my fav songs ever. i used to dance to that with my guy friend in college in our dorm rooms. ??? yes that happened.
You gotta get some Neil Diamond on there… he’s my all time favorite! (I’m 25 years old… physically…)
If you’ve got Adele, you’re fine. A little old-school, but fine. LOL :)
I have the same issue with my tv watching… never met a police/law show I didn’t like. My friends endlessly mock my love of NCIS and Blue Bloods.
As for your list, you have some current people on there, so I’d say it’s more a 45-50 yr old’s play list :)
I love Leather and Lace. It’s on my current playlist right now too.
I’m disappointed in the lack of James Taylor. I thought you were a fan!
ps Something in the way she moves is one of my absolute favorites!!
Hahahah the reason there is barely any James on here is because I have another 100+ song playlist devoted to him!
Sarah McLachlan is one of my all time favs!!!
Love Adele too :)
That is quite a list! Have a fun weekend!
Love Jerrod Niemann! Saw him in concert 2 weeks ago and he’s gorgeous in person!
I love Michael Buble. I LOVE to listen to the Michael Buble pandora station while I bake. Love it! :-)
I love this list even if it ends up doubling my real-age! Fabulous choices…
This isn’t bad at all! Now, if Josh Groban shows up, I’ll start to wonder…
So what’s wrong with sixty? :)
I agree!!! We do not ALL have dentures.. walk stooped over and shuffle!! Being almost 60..I still feel young!
For a true list of that age you would need some Beach Boys..Simon and Garfunkle and Four Seasons!!!
Sweet Surrender? Love it! :-)
“Now please excuse me while I go remove my dentures and put on my housecoat.”- priceless! :-)
Love me some Steely Dan!!
tommy p can do me like that anytime ;)
and that jarrod niemann song is one of my favorite country songs – he sounds so sad and pleading :( in such a sexy way tho!
Don’t you worry… I’m 27 and I’d make the exact same playlist! They don’t make music like they used to ;)
Sarah McLachlan is my favourite singer (and has been since I was a teenager), Surfacing is my all time favourite album, and I own all the Buble albums as well :). So sign me up. P.S. Although a completely different song (obviously :)) if you’ve never heard the Cindy Lauper and Sarah McLachlan version of Time After Time, it’s absolutely fantastic :).
Oh I love this list!!!…
Nah, that’s a GREAT playlist! My mom’s 61 and she listens to Cosmo Radio on XM/Sirius. She loves when they get all raunchy and dirty-talky. Gah, she’s so embarassing.
OOOHHHH I heart your playlist!!!! My guilty pleasure tv show…Gilmore Girls! I crack up everytime I watch it!!!!!
Great play list! I’m totally 60-years old too, if this is the kind of music they listen too!
I love this! I’ve been on such a Steely Dan kick lately.
michael buble makes me swoon, and that’s all there is to it. i’m not ashamed. :)
Your so silly ;-) I’m only 48 and grew up with a lot of those songs. Loved them then and love them now, even more. XoXo
HAHA!!! Instant giggles while reading over this list – i have been called an 80 year old in disguise for at least 17 years of my life, and i will be turning 28 this year. I feel you, but i also adore you LOL us “oldies” need to stick together!! A bit late on commenting, but i love discovering your old posts : )
