1. I made these cupcakes today for my brother’s students because I am a huge pushover who can’t say no a nice sister.

2. I listened to the Steely Dan Pandora station while baking those cupcakes. I have no idea how old I am.

3. Please tell me everyone has a drawer like this.

Actually, please tell my husband. Because I think he wants a divorce over it. And like, all that junk on the right side? It’s also under the foil and towels and all over the drawer and stuff. Actually, please tell him that it’s normal to have three or four drawers like this. Everyone needs a crap drawer. Or four.

4. Today is the day that you can buy one of my favorite bloggers’ amazing book. I wish my life looked like the inside of it.

5. I am obsessed with these cheapo bird earrings that I bought at Target, even though I secretly hate them. Like I hate them so much that I love them. Get it? People weirdly like them too, because they won’t stop asking me about my ears when I wear them.

6. It’s no secret that I inherited my dad’s sweat gene and sweat like man, but during hot yoga it gets to the point where I get ear infections (like swimmer’s ear) and feel like I went swimming and tried to breathe and inhale under water. Then I cough like a maniac from my own sweat. Isn’t this horrifying? Nothing prevents it at ALL. Maybe I’ll just stop working out forever.

7. Never mind. Because I can’t stop eating crunchy toast with cookie butter and GRATED CHOCOLATE.

8. On Friday night my husband came home after his work day, workout, and proceeded to start cutting the lawn. This is like, at least six hours without food so I sensed a major meltdown was looming and made the wise choice to buy him $24 of Italian sandwiches, buffalo chicken and meaty antipasta salad. He ate it all. In one night.

9. Who watched Girls on Sunday? What the… ? Such a mess. Such an amazing mess. Such an I-still-have-no-idea-how-to-feel-about-this-(beside insanely uncomfortable)-but-can’t-stop-watching-mess.

10. Pink jeans. Do it.

11. What are you making for dinner tonight? I’m hungry.

Everyone has at least one drawer like that, or one per room. It’s necessary. It kind of drives me crazy at the same time though. Dinner… uhmm, grilled chicken if I can convince hubs to stand outside in the rain or maybe pizza if we’re lazy. :)

I have that exact drawer. Partially because my husband hasn’t fixed our stove and the lighter is necessary to turn it on. True story. He is also obsessed with the accessibility of multiple flashlights, so there is one hiding about every 3 feet in our house.

Love the earrings. Making barley drenched in some ridiculously good Indian curry sauce thing from Trader Joe’s for dinner. My Tuesday thing is lazy. :)

Oh yes, we have those drawers and they drive me so crazy. I thought we could prevent them from happening when we moved but they have already made their way into our new place. I just face it now. Oh, and I could lick the screen at that cookie butter on toast with shaved chocolate. My diet has consisted of 87% cookie butter lately.

Umm does a crap closet count? Put me down for 1 closet, a drawer, and a let’s-not-talk-about-where-we-keep-the-Tupperware cabinet! Oh and dinner is Eggs Benedict with roasted broccoli with lemon! Yumm ;)

I have a drawer like that too, totally normal. It’s a hot mess and I try not to open it unless necessary.
Dinner I have no idea, I just got a Kindle Fire and I am obsessed so my poor hubby is probably going to starve tonight :)

Nice to know I’m not the only one who finishes yoga in a pool of sweat :)

And tonight for dinner is leftover turkey burger & either roasted carrots or a side salad … whichever I have time for!

Yeah, I have a drawer like that, too. It looked so pristine when I moved into this apartment, and now, not so much. And dinner is tomato, butter and onion sauce over pasta with garlic bread, a good cold, rainy day meal.

I have a drawer like that in the kitchen, it is called the junk drawer and when my husband complained, I went into his domain (the garage) and showed him the inside of his toolbox, then pointed out his closet, his side of the bedroom…..he hasn’t complained since.

I have a drawer exactly like that, minus the nail polish and plus and old rusty beer keg tap. No idea.

I have been watching Girls too. I think I like it… It can’t be that bad if we keep tuning in every week. Right?

I actually don’t have a drawer like that yet – I live with two roommates and they’re bound and determined to keep their stuff to themselves, and they expect the same out of me. However, I’m getting my own place in July and I will readily anticipate a crap drawer. Dinner tonight – leftover ginger-peach chicken over rice!

My lack of organization drives my husband nuts {I secretly think it’s amazing how red his face gets when he discovers how much worse “the drawer” gets} :p Like what, it’s not okay to shove things wherever I find a place for them? And, Panera soup and turkey bacon sandwiches. So lazy & yet sooo good

When I moved in with my fiance…the whole STINKING house was like that drawer. Under the bathroom sinks, the closets, the bucket that holds brooms in the laundry room. Two years later I’m still finding things. Dinner tonight will be fish tacos..yum!

Those earrings are actually super cute! And as for that toast, it could be even better if you put almond cocoa spread (from Trader Joe’s) on it and then the grated chocolate. That may actually be my breakfast tomorrow.

As for dinner, tomorrow I’m making salmon patties (with bell peppers, cilantro, green onions, dijon mustard, salt/pepper, ect), fiesta lime rice/corn/black bean type salad, and mac n cheese.

I, too, have inherited the lovely sweat gene. Although now I feel like I don’t get a good workout unless I am sweating profusely.

A former swimmer’s tip for swimmers ear: place a few drops of warm extra virgin olive oil in your ear & cover with a cotton ball to prevent drainage. Works like a charm for me every time :)

Our dinner tonight is your buffalo chicken soup. CAN.NOT.WAIT.

There’s a drawer next to my stove that looks remarkably similar. The top one is just…STUFF. Batteries, spare drawer pulls, little odds and ends from gadgets, a few binder clips (use them for chips/stuff when I run out of magnetic real chip clips), pens, stickers, etc.

The drawer underneath contains the foil/plastic wrap/parchment. :)

There’s a hockey game on tonight and I won’t feel like making anything elaborate. I went to TJ’s earlier and picked up one of their Ciabatta pizza crusts. We’ll have ‘roni, peppers, onion & prosciutto on it. I’ll throw together a small salad and boom. Dinner.

Ditto to #6! I was just complaining to my Dad the other day that I sweat like him! It’s so hard to feel girly/pretty/put together during the summer when your makeup melts off your face and your dress sticks to the backs of your legs! Also, just bought my first jar of cookie butter and a pair of pink jeans today – totally scary levels of coincidence going on!

Everyone sweats like a man in hot yoga… the worst is when you get into a posture and the sweat drips into your nose. I have this thing about water getting in my nose. I start to choke. I look like a freak when I’m in my Bikram class.
