Fluffernutter Chip Ice Cream.
Ice cream partay!
So.
I’ve turned into a TOTAL ice cream person.
I know. Weird. Because that insinuates that I wasn’t an ice cream person before.
Guess what? I WASN’T.
Excuse the shouting.
It’s kind of strange, but ice cream has never been my weakness. I think it has something to do with not loving foods at extreme temperature, but the only ice cream I really ever used to get excited about is chocolate peanut butter from Kilwin’s in Michigan. That is freaking outrageous.
However.
I don’t know if it was the purchase of an ice cream maker last year or something else weird going on, you know, like maybe turning thirty or whatever, or just wanting to eat all things including heavy cream, but now? Ice cream person. All the way.
Don’t get me wrong. I still don’t go wild for plain chocolate or plain vanilla or plain, well… anything, unless it’s covered in sprinkles from the local DQ. (<—–sidenote: OMG)Â My preferred versions of ice cream are majorly trashed up. Which should come as no surprise. duh.
This ice cream is peanut butter flavored with tonsssss of marshmallow cream folded in.
Oh and some creamy peanut butter too, which kind of firms up in the freezer and tastes like peanut butter fudge.
Oh AND some white chocolate chips, because I also need a touch of texture in my ice cream.
In other news, I’m seriously dying to make homemade waffle cones, but I attempted that last summer and I guess you need a waffle cone maker or something. You know what that is? Annoying. I worked at an ice cream shop for about five minutes when I was 16 years old and burned my fingertips forever making waffle cones. Totally worth it though.
Okay that is all. Carry on.
Fluffernutter Chip Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups marshmallow fluff or cream
- 2/3 cups white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Add cream, milk, sugar, salt and 1 cup peanut butter to a saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly until the sugar dissolves and the peanut butter melts, making sure not to let it stick to the bottom. Continue to heat until the mixture becomes warm and begins to bubble around the edges. Remove from heat, add in vanilla extract and add the mixture to a bowl and refrigerate until cold, at least 30 to 60 minutes.
- Once it’s cold, add the mixture to your ice cream maker and churn according to directions. A few minutes before it’s finishing churning, add in 1 cup of marshmallow fluff in a few increments. Once it’s finished churning, scoop the ice cream into a freezer-safe container. Stir in the remaining peanut butter, marshmallow and the chocolate chips, then freeze for at least 4 to 6 hours. Let sit for a few minutes before serving so the ice cream can soften.

Dam Girl, I love your Fridays! Did you know I had my first Fluffernutter a couple of months ago! Crazy! I have been missing out! Your ice cream looks dam good! Hmmm, I just happen to have fluff, so this looks like the weekend recipe for me! I can not wait to try it!! Thank you so much for sharing!!
I never used to be an ice cream person until I started making it this summer. But have recently been laying off a little bit :) I love that you made this one Fluffernutter! Fluff, PB, white choc…yes! Pinned.
Mmmm this looks so good. I wasn’t a big ice cream person either until I purchased an ice cream maker… now I’m kind of an ice cream fanatic!
Oh yeah!!! Love it!
Can you imagine what the world would be like without fluffernutter? Sad, that’s what! I remember as a kid, I’d spend endless days in the summer at my aunt’s house, eating marshmallow dip with strawberries while lounging on rafts in their pool and getting way too much sun. Oh to be a kid again! :) Have a fantastic weekend Jess!
Gosh I am lover of PB and I cant not wait to try this. Marshmallow and peanut butter is not common down under but I willing to try to make it thing here too!
Words cannot express how amazing this looks!! I love all things ice cream/frozen yogurt related – DELICIOUS!! This is a MUST try!
Jenna posted ice cream this week too and I happen to love ice cream so y’all just made my week. Gotta get going on making some of this stat!
I want this for breakfast!!!!
I’m going to say it was our trip to Jeni’s that did it. :)
yes! that too!
oh-my-god. Jessica!! Wow, just wow. Want this right now for breakfast instead of the boring greek yogurt in front of me.
It’s like you’re in my mind or something. You know my cravings, and then you make me something that hits all the notes.
Will you be my personal chef? ;)
I’m a total ice cream junkie. Coconut ice cream is my weakness.
Trashed up ice cream is always the way to go and a little texture is always a winner. Oh and peanut butter, oh and marshmallow fluff. Obviously.
Amazing!
Homemade ice cream changes the whole game. I don’t know who wouldn’t love homemade ive cream. All the pb in this sounds fab! Pb and marshmallow is my favorite combo. I live in MI and was just thinking about trying Kilwin’s.
I am not gonna lie to you – not a huge fluffernutter sandwich lover – but this, this looks amazing. And really I haven’t tried fluff since I was about 10 so maybe it’s time to give it another chance.
xo Jackie
i don’t really like the sandwich either – just the combo! so you might like this.
ummm.. speaking of Kilwins, Toasted Coconut. It’s vanilla ice cream with tons of chocolate covered toasted coconut throughout – DUH-LISH-US! :)
WOW… can I just say how incredibly tasty this looks?! So unique and an ideal treat, in my opinion!
this looks delicious, I am a serious ice cream lover! I bet it would be good with graham cracker crumbs mixed in too. Also, I went to Kilwin’s one time when I was in Florida….and the Salted Caramel flavor was amazing!
Fluffernutter LOVE. I still eat fluffernutter sandwiches…this ice cream is top on my list to de.molish.
These pictures are really awesome. You have out done yourself this time. Sounds so delicious, will definitely make this.
thank you!
That looks amazing! I use a pizzelle maker for perfect waffle cones. Now, I want some ice cream….
This sounds ridiculously delicious! Need to make it STAT!
.:Marta:.
Further confirmation that an already obsessed ice cream lover just needs to get an ice cream maker. My husband thought this might be worse for me, because then I wouldn’t stop eating it.
On a completely random note..do you know where to get cinnamon chips?
omgosh… last summer i had to do a freelance recipe that called for cinnamon chips and searched EVERYWHERE. not even baking stores had them near me. i found out that they are mostly a seasonal product – you can order them on amazon.
1. As a former-MIchigander, Kilwins for the win, always! 2. Ice cream should always be trashed up, the more add-ins, the better!
This looks absolutely to die for, I can’t even get over it. Like you, I never used to be an “ice cream person” but now it’s one of my favorite things. I actually eat way more fro yo, as in almost every night, but the real full-fat ice cream is a huge weakness of mine now. Cookie dough all the way….that might change after I try this stuff though. Looks like I’m buying an ice cream maker over the weekend!
YES PLEASE! Where are the spoons ::looks around::
Gaaahhhhhhhhh. I can’t handle it. I’m not even an ice cream person either (though my one weakness is Espresso Chip) but this ice cream looks fantastic!
My head just exploded. Fluffernutter is my absolute favorite, and this may be the reason i get out my ice cream maker that’s been hiding behind a whole bunch of crap in my cabinet.
Oh my goodness, yum!!! I love peanut butter ice cream (and really all ice cream), but peanut butter and marshmallow, and white chocolate chips? So good! I might just need to purchase an ice cream maker on Amazon ASAP!
Oh. My. God. I need this. I’m totally an ice cream person and this looks phenomenal .
Sweet goodness! Perfect for a weekend treat!
I would demolish this without hesitation… :)
Unlike you, I have always been an ice cream person and I think I found my new favorite flavor!
I love homemade ice cream – seriously tastes so good! Fluffernutter chip is such a fun name! (and I’m sure super delicious)
I used to work at this mom and pop ice cream place called Somerset Creamery in Massachusetts. They have a Cranberry Bog ice cream that is to die for! Craisins, chocolate chunks, and walnuts in a lightly flavored cranberry ice cream. perfect combination of sweet and tart.
No egg or gelatin required? I bought my ice cream maker last year and its still sitting in its box. I need to use it to make this damn good looking ice cream!!!!!
Mmmmm this looks so great! I love DQ with sprinkles too but this ice cream is on a whole other level :)
Man, that cone is huge! I would have eaten it all. Like you, I’m not a huge ice cream person. Plain ice cream just doesn’t do it for me but this one is outrageous in the best way possible. I don’t have an ice cream machine but I found a way to make a good no-churn version. And next time fluffernutter it is.
SAME. HERE. I was never an ice cream person and then all of a sudden, this summer happened and I want it, like, every day. Except I rarely eat dairy(lactose issues) so I end up buying pints of the expensive coconut milk or almond milk ice creams. Wahhhh my waistline. And my wallet.
This looks SO good!
uhhhh YES PLEASE!
I know you’re not a huge fan of nuts in your desserts (or is it just cookies?) BUT I think some almonds or something would be OMG so gooooooooood in this!
Just an FYI- Turkey Hill makes an ice cream called Double Dunker- the BEST ice cream I’ve ever bought at the grocery store. Totally junked up with chocolate cookies, cookie dough and fudge all rolled in a mocha ice cream. The flavor is amazing. I could easily down two bowls! You have to try it!
This ice cream is my weakness, are you kidding me?
A) Need an ice cream maker ASAP. B) That last picture just gave me the idea to break off pieces of a waffle cone and enjoy it in a bowl of ice cream….wouldn’t that just be fabulous?

Get the toasted coconut the next time you come to Michigan and go to Kilwins!!! It’s heaven in a cone (or a cup, but who gets a cup??) if you love coconut and I KNOW you love coconut just like me!! I swear I get in nearly once a week in the summer. It’s dangerous living so close to one
And don’t worry, I’m not completely insane and telling you not to get your chocolate peanut butter…get a a scoop of both. Duh
I have eaten more ice cream this summer than last. I blame the heatwave! I am also looking into getting an ice cream maker. The choice right now (and this could change) is the Kitchen Aid attachment ice cream maker.
i love the attachment for my kitchenaid!
Kilwins!!!
The first time I took my husband to visit Kilwins he finished his cone (don’t recall the flavor), turned around, went right back in to get another (of a different flavor. Because, seriously, ALL the flavors!)
So reading this post just made my day. :)
Now all I want to do with my Friday night is lie in bed and eat this ice cream. Damn you.
