I just opened a new jar of salted caramel.
Well… technically I’m lying. I opened it last night. Late last night.
Not like that was obvious with the full inch missing from the top.
What should I make with it? What should I do? What would you make? Hit me with your best shot.

Apple Bread Pudding with Salted Caramel Sauce
I have never, ever, in my life, had salted caramel.
I used it to make buttercream… best move ever! http://www.keepitsweetblog.com/salted-caramel-buttercream/
Ummmm……JUST EAT IT WITH A SPOON!
Something with popcorn? It’s my favorite food and I would love to see some fun popcorn recipes on here! :)
I’m no help. I’d eat it with a spoon. hah
I wonder if it would be too salty if you use it on a pretzel crust filled with ganache? http://bourbonnatrixbakes.blogspot.com/2011/03/chocolate-dulce-de-leche-pretzel-tart.html that’s my PMS cure.
Some sort of caramel peach pie would be delicious.
What about an ice cream pie? With chocolate or vanilla bean ice cream. Or both?? But, really, every single suggestion I’ve seen sounds marvelous. ;)
make a ice cream cake! choose your two favorite flavors and put the salted caramel and crushed up reeses in the center :]… i just made this for a friends birthday!
I think salted caramel is the new water. Therefore, and unlimited amount is good for you.
I’d just eat it with a spoon. That’s what I do with all my flavoured peanut butters, so I know I’d do the same here :)
Salted caramel brownies. if you leave out the sea salt (and just use the entire jar of caramel) they will be chewy and you will cry tears of caramel to replenish your stocks. also you will gain a pound for each brownie.
as a layer in brownies with a fudgy ganash as the top layer!
Besides lie awake thinking about the fact that it was in my kitchen wanting to be consumed??? I’d definitely go the salted caramel brownie route, probably with ice cream and homemade hot fudge sauce and more salted caramel on top because I like it dirty like that. ;)
How about a salted caramel deep dish apple pie?
Is it eating it with a spoon out of question?
Only an inch is missing?! ;) I have no suggestions for you, but can’t wait to see what you come up with.
Salted Caramel and Ginger cookies or brownies. Sounds fantastic!
I’d just eat it outta the jar… just sayin’
That rich color steals my heart! Oh, the ways to eat this glorious goodness. I, personally, am a lover of chocolate and caramel. I would probably swirl it in some vanilla icecream and then sandwich that between to fresh baked chocolate chocoalte chunk cookies. Oh yeah, that sounds amazing.
OR how about drizzled over some warm peach cobbler with some vanilla icecream melting under the pile of fruity goodness?
Dark chocolate chip cookies drizzled in salted caramel!
Well Jess if you know me from my email then my solution
Ghiardelli dark chocolate lava cakes with pecans and caramel ribbons, topped w/ pralines and cream ice cream and a caramel drizzle.
Hmmm… I think I’ll have to go drum that up.
You could make Better Than S** Cake.
Jessica, you MUST make a day trip to Columbus, Ohio and visit Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams! One of ‘our’ best-selling signature flavors is a delicious Salty Caramel! It’s fabulous!!!
I made these brownies (and added white chocolate chips), topped them with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and then poured that goodness on top. But that’s just me :)

Bananas foster bread pudding with salted caramel sauce and bourbon whipped cream.
I’d make my finger (or tongue) take a swim in that beautiful jar. Or brownies.
Pour it over fried plantains.
I would make some Ooy-Gooy Caramel Chocolate Crumb Bars. :)
Salted caramel buttercream for bacon cupcakes.
I’m thinking it would be delish drizzled over mocha cupcakes :) or maybe on banana pancakes :)
