Peas and Thank You Cookbook Giveaway!
Oh my yum.
I know this has been a coincidentally uncharacteristic week on How Sweet It Is, but I promise tomorrow will more than make up for it. Monday too. You’ll be lucky if you can button your pants by Tuesday.
I am super excited about this giveaway! In fact, my excitement has grown every single day this week.. because I can’t stop eating things out of this book.
MamaPea is the creator of the blog Peas and Thank You, if you didn’t know. She has some of the cutest kids I’ve ever seen and will make you wet your pants on a daily basis with her hilarity. She just wrote this fabulous cookbook which is so much more than just a cookbook. [Bonus: my close friend Ashley did much of the food photography for the book!] She is also vegan, which yeah… is the complete opposite of me.
But the thing is, we love a lot of the same foods. She just makes them with different (uhh… and healthier) ingredients and lots of vegetables. Ew?
I may not love vegetables, but I love delicious food. Really love it. Duh! And there have been countless times over the last year and a half I’ve been blogging that I’ve made one of her recipes (can we say dough balls?), because if she can’t get me to eat vegetables then I doubt anyone can. #imscrewed
The minute I got my hands on her book I made the thai veggie burgers.
Get.in.my.mouth.
Holy cow, these were flippin’ delicious. It was my first time making a veggie burger and I was more than pleasantly surprised. I want to lay my head down on a thai burger pillow tonight.
I also made a batch of the ever popular mmm sauce, which I promptly slathered on my [third] thai veggie burger.
Sure I’ll swim in this bowl. Thanks for asking.
And yesterday afternoon, I ate this chickpea strawberry salad then almost died.
Not because I ate so many vegetables at once, but because this salad was so amazingly good. I immediately wanted to pour the remaining cinnamon vinaigrette over my head. Then I emailed MamaPea and told her that this was probably the best cookbook I have tried recipes from since my beloved Williams Sonoma Handbook. That is huge! And it doesn’t even have bacon in it.
The recipes are mostly vegetarian with a handful of vegan ones, and are so easy but so delicious – I find them to be extremely adaptable for when you do want to add meat or in my case… need to add meat for that guy you life with. Trust me: you want this book. [If you have any doubts, just check out the SIXTY TWO 5 star reviews.]
Today you can enter to win a copy of the book! In addition, you’ll also get a “pea pack” with all of these fun things, and I’m totally jealous though I have no need for an apron that says “Mama” or a bib. Except for that guy I… yeah, you know.
To Enter: Just leave a comment on this post. Any comment. Go!
[Contest closes Friday, Aug 12th at midnight EST.] [If you absolutely can’t wait to get your hands on the book or want to order one for your friends, click here!]

The cookbook is on my birthday list for sure.
Free cook book?? Yes please! I’ve been trying to make more meals and this would be perfect. I’ve been informed that cereal with a side of Better-Than-Crack Brownies is not an appropriate dinner. Who knew?
I LOVE your website and never commented but I have made a bunch of stuff and this book seems awesome… those veggie burgers look so good!
I hope to be the lucky one !
Oh yum! Those look soooo good!
I am the ONLY veggie lover in my house so I would love to find new fun ways to introduce them to the rest of the family!
I really enjoy your website. This week alone I have made 2 different dishes of yours. You don’t lie, simple and easy meals!! Thanks for sharing such awesome dishes.

Many of the blog tour stops that are talking about this book have showed that chickpea salad and I’m DYING to try it! It looks so delicious… can’t wait to get the book to try it out!
I can’t wait to read Mama Pea’s book. My birthday is in a few weeks, but I do not want to wait that long to get it!
I have the book already but really would love a mama pea apron and little pea bib for my bun in the oven! :-) Oh, and then I’d have someone’s Christmas gift ready in August, which never happens.
I would LOVE to have this book!
I have been a vegetarian for 14 yrs and have not found any cookbook to be appealing…… until now, these seem like recipes my meat eating husband would enjoy. Everything seems so vibrant and simple to make.. love. love. love
Thai veggie burger?!?! Um I want that too!
This book looks awesome! Pick me!
That looks so yummy! I like the salad.
Pick Me! I’d love to find ways to eat more veggies! :-)
I’m always interested in healthy eating and getting more vegetables in my diet, and I think it might be fun to try to convince my boyfriend that it’s okay to not eat meat with every meal (he’s a lot like your husband in that respect)!
This book looks great! Thanks for the opportunity!
Definitely running to the bookstore for this one! It looks amazing.
And…I know I don’t tell you often enough (or ever), I LOVE your blog.
That Pea Pack (pod?) is adorable!
I want this book so dang bad!!! I love your site and Peas and Thank you site!!!

Who would not want to be inspired like this!?! Fingers crossed it’s me :)
Would love this book!
I follow both P&TY and How Sweet (yeah I know, kind of an oxymoron). I have requested that Mama Pea “makeover” your chocolate peanut butter cupcakes-I’m hoping she says yes!
Say whaaat. I need to try that strawberry chickpea salad, and I’m not usually a fruit-in-your-salad type of gal.
I would loooove to get my hands on this cookbook! I’ve been dying to make some Mmmm Sauce!
That looks delicious!!!
Looks tasty!
Yay! Cookbooks are so fun!
I need to find a way to use all of the vegetables from my garden this year. This cookbook looks like it just might do the trick!
