Tuesday Things.
1. I bought chocolate today to bake. After I worked out, of course. Then I ate it instead. Now I need more. I’m not even going to tell you that it was the “pound plus” from Trader Joe’s.
2. Uh… can you make these appear in my closet? Yes, you. I’ll pay you in cookies. And love you forever. [But I may have to give you an IOU for the cookies. See #1.]
3. I tweeted this over the weekend, but it’s so disturbing that I must share again. My uncle found this bug outside.
HOLY CREEPTOWN. My skin is crawling.
4. I’m already craving pumpkin and fall-scented candles. I know that’s so annoying and cliche and I won’t mention another word about it for at least 3 or 4 minutes. In the meantime, I want these popsicles in my hands. Double fist style.
5. Despite the 8 billion ice cream pictures I threw in your face while on vacation last week, I actually don’t love ice cream. It’s not my drug of choice. But I love getting it on vacation when it’s freshly scooped every single day. And on our second to last day, I had this cinnamon crumb cake ice cream. I want to bathe in it. Join me?
Wait. That’s weird.
6. There is one incredible and amazing thing I miss about our honeymoon: KING SIZED BEDS. Has anyone ever got divorced over their queen sized bed? I may need your lawyer.
7. I bought this tiny perfume while on vacation.
As if I don’t smell like butter and sugar enough.

Three words: get the king. After much coaxing, I gave in… and it has been a glorious 14 days. Money well spent. The end.

i’m going to need to know where you got that perfume. and i’ll bathe in that ice cream with you. i won’t get weird if you won’t ;) and bring on the fall scented candlesssss!!!!!!
when we got married and decided to use the queen sized bed I had I told my husband by our 5th anniversary I wanted a king. He’s got 1 month until then otherwise I may need a lawyer too.
I’m anti king but i know once i finally cave i’ll love it if only for the reason it gives the golden doodle more room to stretch between the 2 of us :)
That caterpiller is creepily cute!
My boyfriend is already aware that we are getting a king as soon as we move into a house. This queen thing just isn’t cutting it. I need that perfume, it sounds awesome. Love your list (as usual).
That bug is creepy. That ice cream looks amazing. Like a cinnamon roll bursting with ice cream. Now I want ice cream with cinnamon rolls swirled in it. Or your crumb cake one. Also, my husband and I share a full/double bed. Not even queen. Granted, we’re both on the “tinier” side (he’s 5-8 and I’m barely 5-5″), but still. King size beds rule – though I’ve also only experienced that on our honeymoon.
Crap what’s our excuse? I’m 5’1″ and he is about 5’9″.
Ha!! I don’t know, then! Maybe he’s not a big touchy-cuddly-when-sleeping kinda guy??
I really hope you are inspired to create a recipe for that ice cream. because I would definitely bathe in it!
I don’t have an ice cream maker. Waah!
No, no, that is beyond Creeptown, we’ve moved right into Creepville with that!!! That seriously makes my skin crawl and I feel like it’s on me!! What in God’s name IS that?!
Also? #4. Yes. And I absolutely will NOT stop talking about it. Not until it’s September and I’m finally baking with pears and apples and pumpkin and loving every moment of it! This is always about the time of year I start to get Fall cravings…
We JUST upgraded to a queen earlier this summer. Imagine how close we came to the BIG D.
I ain’t talking my bra size either.
Wait, that’s just gross.
So weird! I found and got a snapshot of one of those CREEPY bugs too! Ours was on our tomato plant hanging upside down. It was ginormo. Gah.ross.
I NEED A KING BED! My fiance loves to cuddle. And it’s pretty much torture to me. Every night I fight him on it and then he gives up. I asked him last night why after almost 3 years he still tries. His response “because… either one day when I’m gone you’ll wish you would have OR you’ll eventually give in.” On our honeymoon, we’ll have a king bed. If only I could find a way to take that big ol bed outta that mexican resort and put it in my room. You wanna buy us a kind bed as a wedding gift? I’ll get you those shoes!
Aw… this is so sweet! I wish my husband liked to cuddle. He does, but that’s not the reason I want the King. He kicks, elbows and punches me while he sleeps and I haven’t had a good night sleep since I got married!
I have been craving fall/winter too! I’m ready for pumpkin flavored/scented EVERYTHING!
Oh my goodness, I SO agree with #4. I’ve been craving fall and all the glorious things that come with it since May. I am so over the 100+ degree days and NO rain that Texas has been cursed with this summer. And it’s been like this since MAY. Ugh.
Bring on cool, crisp weather, apples, pumpkins, and everything else cliche about fall!! I want it all!!
I can’t even imagine. I was in Texas at the beginning of June and wanted to die. SO.HOT.
Where did you get that perfume?! I’m always looking for something like that!
Umm…I need that ice cream in my life. Like, now. I hear you on the king bed…I have a full, and my bf has a queen…he’s 6’2″ and I sleep like a giant starfish. If we ever move in together a king sized bed will be the first purchase.
BTW…that nasty bug you showed is a hickory horned devil caterpillar and is the largest one in North America. I’m really glad we don’t have those here! I’m itching…at my desk!
I own a king size bed and am currently single… guess I’m getting ready. ;)
Course my 25lb pup takes up half of it anyway.
Love, love, love the king sized bed.
My hubby and I slept on a twin bed (is that even possible?) for the first year of our relationship. We moved up to a twin bed for the second two years and just a few months ago “graduated” to a king size bed!! It is so amazing, I wouldn’t go back to full size for anything.
Seriously. King Beds? So necessary.
I WANT THAT ICE CREAM
King sized bed, two sinks, two closets are the key to a happy marriage! Trust us!
The first thing we bought when we became a two-income family was a king-size bed. WORTH EVERY PENNY.
I saw those popsicles too and HOLY AMAZING I am craving pumpkin and fall flavors like no other.
I think I’m the only weirdo who likes a small bed. We have a queen and it’s too big! I’m a big cuddler and in fact always need to be touching my husband (thankfully he’s OK with that….). I know it’s crazy – maybe I just need to always know he’s there! But he says I reach to him even when I’m completely dead asleep if he comes to bed after me.
Do really ugly caterpillars become really pretty butterflies?
I agree with you and have even heard that couples who sleep in smaller beds have stronger marriages because they are always touching. I would be all for that if my husband didn’t sleep like he was in a boxing match!
Holy creeptown is that thing really real?!
I know this sounds stupid but I would love to find a pumpkin spiced perfume – not to wear all the time like during romantic “interludes” ;-) but when I cozy up on the sofa on a fall night – am I crazy or what?! Am I taking this “love of baking in the fall” too far?!
That is the creepiest caterpillar ever! This guy I found in my garden last week, just might your guy’s arch nemesis.

Oh my gosh!! It’s like it’s cousin or something.
i love tuesday things. that is all.
well, that and i need a bigger house before i can get a king-sized bed.
I want those popsicles too… and I allready bought an apple spice candle. It’s not even September yet… what the hell!?
If my boyfriend and I ever get engaged I swear I’m putting a king sized bed on the registry. I’ve had enough of the queen!
That caterpillar is weird!!
The ice cream looks fantastic! :D
Ewww…regal moth catepillar. It gets prettier….
I need/want that perfuuuuumeee! Slash that thing gives me the creepy crawlies. Oof.
ummm those feather shoes are UH-mazing! Perfect wedding shoes IMO. I already got married, but maybe I’ll wear them for my second wedding ;)
Buy the KING…it’s an investment in your future. If you plan on having little How Sweets running around someday (and if you’re like me and share with the cats and dog…) you’ll take any corner that’s available to sleep on when exhaustion hits. Snuggling isn’t all it’s cracked up to be when you’re dying for sleep… ;) PS…off to buy cinnamon sugar ice cream immediately–yum!
Oh my on the cool colored bug. I hope you never see one again, but glad you took a pict! Yes, king sized beds are great. It is on my radar, when we need a new bed. Someday dreams.
Okay, definitely get a king sized bed that is memory foam!!! Seriously its amazing and you can’t feel the other person tossing and turning!!
That ice cream looks amazing!!

I. Am. ignoring. the. BUG.
The cinnamon ice cream dream however sounds blissful.
Thanks for linking to my pumpkin pops. If you had them in both hands I would add your sweet photo to the post :)
Okay…a few thoughts. That bug is disgusting. If I found that in my home, I would move. Thank god it was on vacation! I’m also craving pumpkin flavored and scented things. I’m so ready for fall…my favorite season! And cinnamon based ice creams…AMAZING. I lovelovelove Ben and Jerry’s cinnamon bun kind. I can only imagine what homemade cinnamon crumb cake ice cream would be like….uhh, *dies*.
No… it wasn’t on vacation!! It was at my cousins house which is literally 2 minutes from my own!
Oh hay-ELL no. I assumed that was from vacay. Move, immediately. Back to Michigan!
Cool Caterpillar! It’s a Horned Devil caterpillar and turns into a Regal Moth.

a king bed would be my dream come true. we sleep on a full size bed-it’s only really annoying when i’m pregnant. i’m currently in the middle of preg #2 and wishing for separate beds most nights!
I’m a total ice cream junkie, and that looks aaamazing. I want some right.now.
I need to find that ice cream!! Looks delish –
I’m a pumpkin spice addict, any time of the year. My grandmother used to make this pumkpin spice ice cream on our last “lake weekend” of the summer and then we’d walk into town and get cappucinos. It was heaven.
Oh and that bug? Pre-emptive thanks for the nightmares.
That sounds like something out of a novel. Love it.
Haha! Cake perfume…Yes, I want to smell like cake.
King beds are to die. I’d go for it if I were you. Love your blog by the way! :)

Oh I totally want pumpkin stuff….with caramel icing…in any capacity. I’m glad I’m not the only one. What’s really weird is that the leaves here are starting to change! It’s freakin August! How is that even possible! Mother Nature must be ready for the seasons to change too…
And those shoes? Amazing! Talk about fairy princess. :)
Okay, this may make me a weirdo, but I am sooo envious of your caterpillar! I would put him in my bug jar and study him for 4 hours before letting him escape. I do that sort of thing often. I actually went to school for it, if that makes me any less of a weirdo… (probably not)
And about the king-size bed thing – we actually share a double bed… on purpose. I had a queen sized bed and I got rid of it. We like it because it’s an adjustable bed (for our almost-30 old bodies…) and we don’t mind the small size either. Even when we’re angry. You can’t be angry and sleep in a double bed…
King size bed…..MANDATORY!!! I held off for yrs, and now can’t live without it! We just spent 6 days sharing it a queen and it almost led to a split. ;p
Creepy bug…my boys would have made me keep it. TG it was you and not me. =)
Omg is that bug for realllllllll?!?! I would have been terrified to go near that thing!!! Gahhhhh hahaha. In other news, that perfume spray sounds like heavennnnn in a bottle.
