Tuesday Things.
1. I’m mid-citrus love affair. Uh huh.
2. This strawberry hibiscus rum punch? AH! I want a gigantic pitcher.
3. Um New Kids on the Block and TLC touring this summer? Did I just get transported back to 1989? Should I bring my pogs and Jem doll to the concert? P.S. TLC is still one of my favorite Pandora stations EVER.
4. I’m sure by now you’ve all seen the “ship your enemies glitter” thing but, like… I WANT people to ship me glitter. I want a house made of glitter. This is a bad thing?
5. Remember a few weeks ago when I said I’d give anything for a huge snowstorm? I retract my statement. Boohoo. I’d give anything to go outside for a loooong walk. I’m sort of living vicariously through pinterest beaches.
6. Getting totally pumped that in another week or two, all kinds of TV comes back on. I’m sort of liking GIRLS better this season than I did last year, but maybe I’m just so desperate to watch something new and that’s why. Just when I thought Elijah may have maxed out, he was hilarious AGAIN. Can’t there just be a show about him? Oh oh also, remember a few years ago when we watched Banshee? Last year we had a tough time getting into it but it’s on now and I’m trying again. I have a love/hate relationship with it.
7. Please tell me you’ve seen the Betty White birthday flash mob. This made me SO happy. Not just because she looks and acts like Mother Lovett but because she gets so freaking excited.
8. I’ve finally got back in the kitchen cooking regular dinners and have been killing it this week. I made a to-die-for chicken and dumplings on Friday (wild party night, you know), Julia Child’s coq au vin last night and am aiming for chicken parm tonight. Granted it takes me about three times the length of time it used to, but it feels (tastes?)Â GOOD. Eddie doesn’t even know what to do with himself.
9. This “let’s get drinks” convo kills me. Every time. Hello 2015.

The Betty White flash mob was fabulous. Totally made my day. Betty White is fabulous and adorable and the cutest and funniest woman ever. Love her.
if you’re looking for a new good show, The Affair (a showtime series) is awesome! It’s a murder mystery/love affair drama. There has only been one season so far but I highly recommend it! I just watched the whole first season in about 4 days hah
Funny! I was just saying I’m not sure if I can handle another season of GIRLS. I’m just so grossed out all of thee time. haha Glad you’re getting back in the kitchen!! xo
I need the chicken and dumplings you made in my life!

when I saw the “ship your enemies glitter” my first thought was glitter is not for haters, glitter is awesome, I would LOVE whoever sent me glitter.
I’m loving Girls this season- the party scene this week was HILARIOUS. However, Marnie. UGH. I can’t stand her. But you’re to supposed to like her, right?

I’ve had Red Light Special on repeat for the past month for some reason.
Knew we were kindred spirits :)
i am SO EXCITED for that concert tour! my inner 90’s girl is doing backflips.
Have you seen Rock This Boat? It’s a reality show about the NKOTB cruise on Pop (formerly TV Guide network). Not really a huge fan of the group by my co-worker is on the show which makes it so. much. fun. to watch!!!
yea, my husband and i totally sent our our “will you by my bridesmaid/groomsman?” cards FULL of glitter confetti. and it was awesome! and all our friends laughed and sent us pictures of the glitter bomb aftermath! so many smiles :-)
I think I learn about the internet from your Tuesday Things posts. There is ALWAYS something you include that I haven’t seen – and I spend much of my work hours on social media! (Working, of course. I get paid to do that.)
Amen to the citrus obsession! I crave it so much this time of year. I just picked up a giant bag of blood oranges at Trader Joe’s for my latest recipe. Delish!
Laughing that you are making Julia Child’s coq au vin. Good for you!
Ooh…that chicken and dumplings looks amazing!! Will you have a recipe soon?
I’m with you on the citrus, so good! I loved the Betty White flash mob :)
Would love to have your chicken and dumplings recipe! Loving your cookbook btw. Thanks!
I have been having the “let’s get drinks” conversation with a girl I know for about two years now. It’s terrible. And please share the chicken and dumplings recipe you used!!!
With you on the citrus, craving it these days…loved the Betty White flash mob… Girls? Elijah is the best! And.I’m still reeling from the cringe worthy Marnie scene at the sink…(I wonder if they make special episodes that her dad can watch…or if the whole thing is just too much for him) and I want to be wherever that rum punch is…
Please post your chicken and dumpling recipe! I am craving that dish!
Have you seen the video of the police officer singing in his patrol car to the “Shake It Off” song by Taylor Swift? It was recorded on his dash cam!

WHAT!? You made chicken and dumplings, AND coq au vin, AND chicken parm, AND have a baby! You, lady, are Wonderwoman.
I love cooking, but he grocery bill. Oof.
I think I may have had a similar let’s get drinks convo. I am the worst! I prefer online and texting friendships b/c I can be in my jammies, with bed head and no makeup. i suck!
