you totally need to make this for valentine’s day. (Valentine’s Day Heart Pepperoni Pizza!)
I don’t think I can ever eat a regular shaped pizza again in my life.
Who cares about circles and squares and rectangular flatbreads when you can have your pizza in a HEART?
Can we say adorable?
The heart shaped pepperoni is a must… and I don’t even love pepperoni. It’s super simple to do – take round peppersoni slides (any size works), fold them in half and cut them into a teardrop shape with kitchen shears. Unfold the slice and you have a heart! You will get the hang of it once you do a few.
I really can’t even.
This doesn’t requite an exact *recipe* to share and I certainly didn’t come up with this idea on my own, but I’ve seen the concept floating around the internets for a few years. I made it for Eddie last week and… I don’t know if he was as excited as me that it was heart shaped. But it was delicious.
I use this crust. Let it rise like normal, then shape it into a heart on a pizza peel. It won’t be perfect!
I use jarred sauce, because I’m lazy.
For this particular pizza, I torn up a ball of buffalo mozzarella and threw it on top. Then the heart pepperoni. Slid it on a pizza stone – it may be even less perfect at this point! Baked it for 15ish minutes or so, but that really depends on your crust.
Added fresh basil leaves!
Ate our little hearts out.
That was bad, I know.
The most charming of all the pizzas right? DO it.

The heart shaped pepperoni are adorable! If Eddie wasn’t as excited as you were, I am. Just looking at it makes me want to whip one up right this second!

My husband and I make heart shaped pizza every year for Valentine’s Day. I will definitely try the heart shaped pepperoni this year!
Too freaking cute!

Super love this! How insanely perfect for V-day! Pinning!
This is the cutest, sweetest pizza ever! Love the heart shaped pepperoni!
I just know I’d end up eating most of those pepperoni scraps :)
Of course that’s like complaining there’s too much oil on my pizza. It’s pizza. Pure calories. Just eat it! :)
We always make pumplkin shaped pizza for Halloween– mushroom eyes with bell peppers that look like glasses, kale hair, and then toppings for the nose and mouth. It is so cute!
This is an amazing/adorable/delicious looking recipe! I love that you used jarred sauce, because sometimes you just don’t want to make the real stuff! And it makes life easier! I’m such a pizza fan, I can’t wait to try this one out!
Omg I saw this the other day on Melodrama! http://blog.krysmelo.com/2015/02/05/heartshapedpepperonipizza/
So cute. Def making.
I think I will celebrate Valentine’s Day this year. With this pizza.
I totally did this two years back as a Valentine for my pizza loving boyfriend ( http://instagram.com/p/VvBmG9jIze/?modal=true ) – planning to do it this year but with a chocolate chip cookie!

Yep! Doing it!
omg you’re the cutest. Haha! Happy Valentine’s Day to you, Eddie and mini Eddie!
But then there will be pepperoni scraps…FOR EATING.
It was either 1983 or 1984 that I made this very pizza for my boyfriend (now husband) who loved and still loves pizza. I was working with someone who also worked at a pizza shop, so she got me an empty box and I presented it to him on Valentine’s Day. He still remembers it and so do I! Married 27 years this June.
that is the best story ever!! love it.
Adorable! I serious cannot go back to plain shaped pizza now!

So you totally stole this of Krys Melo Blog.krysmelo.com
You even stole her wording, only you couldn’t do the pizza anywhere near as good as her. Nailed it
if you are familiar with my blog at all, you’d know i’d never not credit someone. i had not seen that blog until someone linked it earlier in the comments, and there are tons of bloggers doing this right now for valentines day. i shared this on instagram last week, before her blogpost. i clearly state above that i can’t take full credit for the idea as i’ve seen it on pinterest for years. that site is beautiful and i certainly agree – hers look much better than mine!
Whoa whoa whoaaa. Guys, it’s just pizza. We don’t have to be rude. No one stole anything. Heart shaped pizzas are all the rage right now. We’re not being innovators, we’re just sharing food. Now let’s relax and have a slice.
I thought the heart shaped crust was good but the pepperonis are amazeballs. Love it, no pun intended ;)

I’ve been thinking about heart-shaped pizza all week. I asked Jack if he wanted to have a Valentine’s party with some of the guys….I’m not sure he’s sold. ;)
What type of jarred sauce do you typically buy?
it definitely varies, but i have usually delallos on and because i just buy it at their store. i am not a huge fan of tomato sauce in general so i’m prob not the best judge of *good* jarred sauces.
