So many good ones…it’s my favorite time of year for sure. Probably Christmas Eve at my grandparents’ house with my whole family. It’s the one time every year when all of my favorite people are in the same place. This year will be the first year without my Grandpa :( But I am looking forward to it nonetheless. I love that you’re doing this this year! And I follow you on Insta @maggiehammy :)
my favorite Christmas memory is in the making this year! It’s celebrating it with my first son and his first Christmas!
The 12 days of Christmas series is so fun!
This year I got to take my daughter to see the Nutcracker, a tradition I am carrying from when I was little and went with my mom. The second the lights turned off I started crying because I was so excited to be there with my daughter.

One of my favorite memories is attending the 11 PM church service on Christmas Eve – it always felt so special to dress up and get to stay up way past our bedtimes! :) Plus it brought us that much closer to Christmas morning!!

Favorite easy dinner is a big salad with tons of roasted veggies on top and grilled chicken. For the fella, it’s probably tacos. ;)
Favorite weeknight dinner is Blackened Salmon Salad with toasted pine nuts and Gorgonzola. You’d think salmon and blue cheese would be gross. But it’s yummy w/ a light lemon dressing!
My favorite memory as a child is sitting at the top of the steps with my siblings waiting for my parents to go downstairs and get the video camera ready for us to all go down together to see what santa brought us! It was just the best. We were all so silly waiting to get down those steps christmas morning. I cannot wait to start that tradition with my girls!
Crockpot chicken fajitas!
Chili is my favorite easy weeknight dinner!

Brinner (breakfast for dinner) is always a winner at our house!
I love Christmas morning brunches at my parents house. We are in Chicago, so its always cold and mostly snowing, when we walk in the door, you get hit with the bacon, quiche, french toast casserole, all the things you want from a holiday brunch including Mimosas, Bloody Mary’s and my favorite a Bloody Joe ( bourbon instead of vodka, YES!). Every year there are new additions to the menu, but the best part is not the food its watching my three nieces (Flynn & Lilli are 9, and Kate is 6), with their presents. I admit there is a twinkle of greed in their eyes, but there excitement about Christmas gets really contagious, and soon the room has this incredible energy of happy family and pure joy. It really defines the spirit of Christmas for me. And to see those faces, warms my heart.
