My Favorite Things Holiday Giveaway: Win a $500 Amazon Gift Card! [CLOSED]
Happy December 12th! I am SO excited to begin counting down the 12 days of Christmas!
You guys have been asking me left and right if I’d be holding another 12 Days of Christmas vlogging series this year. While I’d love to, all we’re REALLY doing over here is cuddling a newborn. But! Starting today, I will be holding multiple giveaways for some of my favorite things and you can bet that they are in.cred.i.ble. I promise!
These giveaways are not sponsored and are given by me to show how much I appreciate you being here. I LOVE YOU! Thank you for stopping by this rambly corner of the internet every day. It seriously means the WORLD to me.
To kick things off on this first day of Christmas, I’m giving away two $500 amazon gift cards! This gift card will be sent to you electronically, so you will receive it well before Christmas. Like you will receive it two or three days from now.
Please see below for detailed rules on the giveaway, but all you really have to do is leave a comment on this post. And… something else super exciting!
You also have a chance for a second entry and to get a signed copy of my next cookbook, The Pretty Dish!
TO ENTER THE GIVEAWAY:
- Follow @howsweeteats on Instagram and Facebook. Leave a comment (with a valid email address so I can contact you!) on this post telling me your favorite memory of 2017!
- For a second entry, pre-order a copy of The Pretty Dish and leave a second comment saying you did so. You can find the book on amazon, barnes and noble, books a million and indie bound. My favorite memory was going to cut down our Christmas tree with our 4 young children! The place has homemade donuts & hot chocolate & a fun wagon ride (pulled by a tractor!) out to the trees… we do it every year and love it!
My favorite memory was traveling to Iceland. Such a beautiful country.
My favorite memory of 2017 was when my niece that is in speech therapy was able to say and show me all the animals in one of her favorite books. :)

My favorite memory was having my second little girl in June. She came into the world after a fast and furious five hour labor. One of the craziest experiences of my life!
I don’t think I have a specific memory that was the best, but family time has been so fun this year and we’ve really done game night every week and it’s just a tradition that I’m hoping sticks!
Been fun to follow you this year because I had a baby too! He’s been th first of many favorite memories. Congrats to you!

2017 has been a difficult year for my family, but I guess one of my favorite memories was celebrating my grandsons’ birthday at the pumpkin patch this fall. (I follow on Instagram and Facebook)
This is like asking me to choose my favorite ice cream flavor (impossible) so I’ll go with the easy answer and say my favorite memory this year was getting married!
My favorite memory of 2017 was the birth of our baby boy Sam :) 2017 babies are the best! Congratulations to your family as well!

My favorite memory of 2017 is the same as every year ~ we sit down together as a family and have dinner together every night. My kids are 22 and 20 now, and those mean everything to me and more as schedules become busier. Merry Christmas!!
I don’t have a specific favorite memory from this year, but have just loved watching my two little girls (1.5 and 4) become the best of friends. I follow you on Ig and Facebook.

My favorite memory of 2017 was traveling to Sonoma, California and driving down the Pacific Coast Highway with my mom and two sisters!
My favorite memory of Christmas is baking millions of cookies since I have been about twelve years old. Tradition has gotten harder with three kids, but now they help me which is awesome! Merry Christmas to you and yours!!
Hi! I already follow you on Instagram and Facebook. My favorite memory of the past year was the two amazing Girl’s trips I was able to take with my college friends. We all live so far away and get to see each other only every 2-3 years. It’s so astonishing to me how we can just slip back into each other’s lives as if no time has passed at all. As I get older, I can truly appreciate the value and meaning these women bring to my life. It’s so easy to get lost in our own lives with our spouses and kids but just a few minutes in their company and it’s like I’ve found the old me again. So good for the soul!!
Favorite memory hands down, was a getaway Thanksgiving with my Family and a very last minute grocery shopping trip on Thanksgiving morning with 10 people cooking in a tiny kitchen! We ate our amazing holiday meal alfresco with all of my favorite people at the table!
My family memory of 2017 was spending the day with my Mom in December just before she died about a year ago. It was a beautiful day and we left nothing unsaid. I feel so lucky that I had this time with her. It will carry me through this Christmas.
I went and spent NYE last year in Rhode Island with a friend, and another friend that I hadn’t seen in nearly 10 years also came over from NYC to spend it with us as well. New Years Day was full of friends lounging, a walk by the water, and a late lazy breakfast, which was perfect.
My favorite memory of 2017 was the birth four little girl!
Favorite memory was finding out we were expecting our second healthy baby boy after a loss earlier in the year. Very excited to welcome #2 in January.
I feel like we are in same boat! My first is about 5 months younger than Max and my second is two months older than Emilia. So my best memory this year is going from a family of 3 to4!
My favorite memory was a backpacking trip we did this summer. The forest fires had already started and while the smoke hindered the views we were hoping to see, I’ll never forget sitting on the 10,000ft peak at sunset with the whole sky bright orange and red.
Welcoming our second daughter in June! :)
Announcing I was pregnant to our family on Christmas Eve.
My favorite memory was watching the moving van pull out of our home of 4 years in Lancaster, PA headed to Greenville, SC. There’s no better feeling than heading HOME!
My favorite memory was taking a trip to the mountains with my 1 year old and husband. Seeing the wonder of snow and trees and new sights and smells through her eyes made it feel so magical. It inspired us to take more family trips!
Oh and I already order two copies of The Pretty Dish a few months ago and will send you my confirmation email! Can’t wait until it’s out.
I’m following you both on FB and IG. My favorite memory of 2017…probably watching my kids head off to 10th and 6th grade. They are growing up so fast and I’m very proud of them!
My favorite memory is going to the beach with our boys and watching them play in the sand for hours and hours! The beach is so calming and provides endless activities!
2017 wasn’t the best year but I try to look at positive things. My husband change jobs and now we are really happy about that.
Staring out the window for an hour as a little girl because I knew I heard Santa’s bells!
Welcoming my niece in July!
I follow on IG & Twitter (I don’t have FB).
My favorite memory in 2017 was completing my 1st ever marathon – I turned 40 this year and finally decided to train and go for it. Never in a million years did I believe that I’d be able to finish 26.2 miles. After our long runs (16, 18, and 20 milers) we had your peppermint affogatos (we needed our caffeine after running for so long!) Training for that marathon forever changed my life.
My favorite memory is traveling to the Scottish Highlands with my Cousin – Standing in the spot where our ancestors dwelled-
My favorite memory stretches through the entire year. Last year, around this time, we were preparing to move into our first home and also adopted a rescue dog. We spent our first night in our house on January 1 and quickly learned how difficult the adjustment would be for our new dog, but watching the progress she has made through this year, getting more comfortable in her new home and trusting us more has been just the best. I’m so thankful for our home and our little family :)
My favorite memory for 2017 is when my 4 year old finally accepted being away from me, which was HUGE for her, and embracing pre-school. I got a note home telling me how great she did and I was so happy and proud of her. She is the type that would not have come out of my stomach if she didn’t have to! 😊 Side note: I have loved following along with you this year and can’t wait to see what next year will bring!
My favorite memory of 2017 has been going on a cross-country road-trip with my sister!
My favorite memory was spending a long weekend in Lewes, DE with friends. Our swim race was cancelled, but we spent 3 days on the beach, drinking mimosas, exploring the little town, and taking the ferry to Cape May.
My favorite memory of 2017 is happening this Saturday when I finish my master’s degree :) It’s been a long 4 years working full time AND taking courses, but it’ll be worth it!
My favorite memory was passing the bar exam!!

My favorite memory was my husband’s and my fourth anniversary in Iceland. We spent a few days there and it was like another planet!
My favorite memory of 2017 was finally getting to visit Universal Studios in Orlando. So fun!
