In 2018 I want to get better at saying no

It was not until I saw Shalane Flanagan win the 2017 NYC Marathon (and become the first American woman in over 40 years to do so) that I realized, I can do this too!

My goal for 2018 is to read more. Growing up, that’s all we did – now I feel like everyone has shifted from that. I want to pick up a good paper copy, sit down and embark. There is something so special about that, and I would love to make that a Dailey routine!! No more phones before before bed, just me, cozy blankets and I good old book!!
One of my goals for 2018 is to enjoy living in the moment more. As a mega type-A personality, I always have to have a plan, which does get in the way of having fun sometimes!

When I was in high school we had to memorize a poem every week and then recite it to the class on Fridays. I love to read and actually really enjoyed that exercise so one of my goals for 2018 is to memorize a poem each week out of the book of poems I have at home!
