How Sweet Eats

My Top 2021 Sephora VIB Sale Favorites.

It’s really the most wonderful time of the year!

2021 sephora VIB sale

The sephora sale is here! VIB rouge starts today, VIB starts 11/9 and Insiders start 11/11! The code is YAYHOLIDAY.

It has been such a weird two years (obvi) – with that and the fact that I barely wore makeup at all in 2020 and the start of 2021, paired with my increasing age (ha!) and dedication to skincare, I’m definitely more into skincare products these days.

I love my skincare routine and use it as a form of self-care. It’s so relaxing for me. I still absolutely love makeup, love wearing it and loving experimenting with it, but I just don’t have as much time to do so. There are a few new favorites below, things I found last November during the sale that I’ve gone crazy over.

You can still find my beauty favorites in my monthly favorites posts, and every now and then I will throw in a full dedicated beauty faves post!

EVERYTHING below is something I use and love (or have used and loved) – these are all my personal recommendations. I ramble about them too. They probably come as no surprise considering I’ve talked about almost everything before, but here we are! I’d love to hear what you love so I can build out my wishlist!

The main thing: I love to use the VIB sale to stock up on my favorite skincare. I also love it to buy perfume, because you can rarely find that on sale (if ever!) – especially Tom Ford, Jo Malone, Killian, etc. I also use it to get some skincare for Eddie for Christmas (it’s one of his fave gifts I get him!).

P.S. if you want a shorter list, here is my spring version from a few months ago!

2021 SEPHORA VIB SALE LIST

SKINCARE

Dr Dennis Gross Facial Steamer. I bought this last year and it has changed my life! Facials at home!! It’s wonderful. Would make a great gift (for yourself?! Ha).

Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream. This has been my holy grail face cream for one year now. I use it both on face and under my eyes. I have dry skin so it is perfect. It is ridiculously priced, but I’ve never found anything to moisturize like it. Plus, it def softens lines!

Sobel Skin RX Moisturizing Cream.  Okay I may take the above back – this is close to Bader! It’s thick and wonderful and smells good. Verdict is still out if I’ll switch, but I have been trying this and love it.

Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser. My favorite cleanser I have found in years. Been using it for at least a year and love it. Plus, it smells like strawberries.

Dr. Dennis Gross Daily Peel Pads. I haven’t stopped raving about these since I bought them and they have changed the texture of my skin. Can’t imagine ever going without these now. I had to take a long break with pregnancy because they have retinol in them. I now use them maybe once a week or so – not quite as often since I’m nursing.

Kate Somerville Exfolikate. This is the only physical exfoliator I use on my face. I also use this on my body and it’s great. It has a chemical exfoliate in it as well.

Supergoop Glow Screen. Found it this summer and fell.in.love. It also makes wearing sunscreen everyday bearable.

Sol De Janiero Bum Bum Cream. As a freak for all things scent, I love using this from April to October – it’s the best summer scent ever. I always buy the huge one at this sale for spring to come.

Sol de Janiero Nude Body Cream. This is a fragrance free RICH body cream. Fantastic for winter.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. I love this cream for all over the body – everyone in our family uses this. It’s also fragrance free. It’s mild and great for eczema.

Derma Doctor KP Duty Scrub. I only use three body scrubs: the exfolikate above, my homemade ones in The Pretty Dish and this one. If you have those bumps on the back of your arms or if you have eczema, this is great. I use once or twice a week.

Derma Doctor KP Duty Cream. Same as the above, in cream form! I don’t use this every day or even every week, but I use it as needed. Eddie really loves this too.

Stacked Skincare Dermaplane. Bought this last year, watched a few youtube videos and boom! Dermaplane at home. It’s great.

FRAGRANCE

Fragrance is super personal, so I don’t know exactly how to describe these without saying “I love them!” I gravitate towards warm, woodsy scents – think amber, musk, tonka bean, vanilla, etc. Below are some of my favorites! I’m a total perfume junkie.

Killian Love, Don’t Be Shy. Obsessed with this one. It’s warm and vanilla-y, but also leans floral-marshmallow scent. It’s amazing.

Killian Angels Share. This smells like a warm and cozy night, loaded with spice. It’s very warm and sweet, but not sickly sweet. Almost like apple cider, in a good way.

Caroline Herrara Good Girl. I believe I read somewhere this is the best selling perfume in the country?! Or world? Haha. It smells DELICIOUS. So warm and wonderful.

Tom Ford Soleil Blanc. This is my summer fragrance! A little warm, but some coconut too.

Jo Malone Mimosa and Cardamom. An all-time favorite for me.

MAKEUP

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue. This is my daily go-to for any sort of color or foundation on my face. It’s super light and I’ve used it for years. I use the shade vanilla. It’s what I use for everyday.

Illi Super Serum Skin Foundation. If I DO decide to wear foundation, this has been my go-to all year. It has really great medium coverage but feels like nothing on the skin. I’ll use this if we go out to dinner or if I go somewhere for a few hours.

KVD Beauty Good Apple Foundation Balm. This stuff is insane. It’s way way too heavy for everyday use (unless you like that!) but it’s incredible if you need full coverage. I use it with an artis brush. I use this if I need to be on camera (used it a ton with my book release in May) or be somewhere all day, like at or in a wedding.

Westman Atelier Loaded Tinted Highlight. If you try one Westman product, let it be this! It’s SO versatile – adds color and warmth to your skin, is an amazing texture and so beautiful. I have all three shades and love them. I got into Westman last year during this sale and many of the products are in my makeup routine now.

Westman Atelier Cream Blush Stick. This is my favorite blush stick – use it daily. I have poppet and minette. I use this brush.

Westman Atelier Contour Stick. I use this daily and love it. I have the shade biscuit.

Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip balm. Definitely my holy grail lip balm. It’s pricey and not one I keep in my purse (because they always go missing!), but it’s amazing for dry lips.

Hourglass Extensions Lengthening Mascara. I’ve used this for months now and LOVE it.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. Another great option in a pot for dry lips. You can still feel this on your lips in the morning. Max and Emilia love this too.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Luminous Light. This one is my go-to forever subtle highlight. You just look perfectly glowy with this. I love it so much! Have gone through three of these.

Benefit Gimme Brow. The ONLY thing I use on my brows. It’s so natural. Nothing compares to the tiny brush.

Nars Pro Prime Smudgeproof Base. This is my favorite for eyeshadow base. Have used it forever.

Natasha Denona Eye Shadow Palettes. Since my beloved Marc Jacobs have been discontinued (waaaah!) these are my next pick. One of them will last you forever and has so many color options. It’s such a creamy smooth formula.

RMS Magic Luminizer. I’ve rambled about this forever. It’s an incredible gel-like luminizer and you can wear it on days you don’t wear makeup. It’s super pretty!

Milk Makeup Eye Pigment. I use this almost every single day. And I love it on its own but it’s also a great base. I have hotel lobby and after party – both gorgeous shades. Have also repurchased both!

Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Stick. This in amethyst is one of my favorite shades ever. I use it as both eyeshadow and liner.

Fresh Bloom Lip Balm. This is the MOST flattering shade ever. I use it all year round – it works with little makeup, or a full face!

Iconic London Liquid Highlight. This is SO pretty. I add it to everything – tinted moisturizer, sunscreen or even use it alone.

HAIR

T3 Whirl Trio. I bought this at a VIB sale a few years ago and still use it weekly. It is an amazing high-quality set that took me a long time to buy (so pricey!) but I use it SO much. And I love that it comes with three sizes of the wand.

Dyson Hair Dryer. Eddie got this for me for Christmas last year. It is life changing. I would only ever buy it if it is on sale, and if you have a lot of hair. It adds so mcu volume and body!

Dyson Air Wrap. Another thing I didn’t think I’d ever buy, but last year I did. It is AMAZING! This can definitely be a one stop shop for your hair. If I could only take one hair tool with me to a deserted island, it would be this. It’s so pricey and rarely ever on sale!

Bumble and Bumble Invisible Oil Shampoo. My favorite shampoo! I love to get the value size bottles at this sale.

Bumble and Bumble Invisible Oil Conditioner. Same as above.

Living Proof Restore Spray. Best leave in conditioner ever.

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day. I love this for styling when I have to blow dry my hair.

Sol De Janiero Dry Shampoo. Smells just as good as the cream!

Ouai Texturizing Hair Spray. This is my all-time favorite hairspray. I also always have a travel size.

Drunk Elephant Tangle Spray. I use this on Emilia’s hair every night. Smells incredible and takes the tangles right out.

HOME

These are my absolute favorite candles to burn during the holiday season! And they never go on sale, unless you’re lucky enough to fine leftovers come January. The reed diffusers also last a few months in my bathrooms. I always get these as gifts during this sale and sometimes buy an extra so I have one come September of the next year.

Maison Louis MarieNo.04 Bois de Balincourt Candle. I first discovered this scent on our Michigan vacation in 2018 and bought the perfume oil. I’ve been obsessed every since and adore that they make it in a candle.

Next Pumpkin Chai Reed Diffusers. I use one in every bathroom each fall!

Nest Birchwood Pine Candle.  Favorite Christmas and winter candle.

Nest Holiday Candle. Another delicious holiday option that I love.

Voluspa Spiced Pumpkin Latte Candle. Amazing for fall too!
