This fancy hummus is the perfect way to spruce up a store bought tub of hummus for guests or a dinner party. When you need a delicious appetizer in a pinch, this can be the go-to!

Welcome to my easy snack obsession.

fancy holiday hummus

This fancy hummus will change your life. It’s the easiest appetizer that will make you appear totally put together. And fantastic in the kitchen.

plain hummus

This is your holiday app solution!

It’s what you make when you find out friends are coming over in 15 minutes. It’s what you take to a gathering when you don’t want to show up empty handed! And maybe even what you make for dinner when you don’t feel like cooking dinner.

It looks fancy and fun and it tastes really darn good. And it’s SO EASY.

Like, so easy.

All you need to make the holiday hummus is:

Store-bought hummus. Or homemade, if you wish.

Pesto. Again, store bought or homemade.

Sun dried tomatoes.

Feta cheese!

That is it. That’s it! Combine everything and GO. It’s a red and green masterpiece for the festive season.

Take a bag of pita chips or a box of crackers too. I mean, this could NOT be easier!!

Plus, this consists of ingredients that you can have on hand at all times. Most in your pantry, a few in the fridge.

See? You probably already love it.

There is no secret when it comes to the ingredients. I suggest using brands of these items that you really love. My favorite store bought hummus is by ithaca. It’s so creamy and delicious! I suggest using the plain version, but you can always switch it up if you love other flavors.

My favorite store bought pesto is by delallo, and even better, it comes in a squeeze tube.

The sun dried tomatoes I find myself buying the most are by alessi

And then finish it off with feta! You can do a drizzle of olive oil if you wish – I love to drizzle the flavorful olive oil from the jar of sun dried tomatoes.

That’s the best hack ever.

You can 100% make this snack your own. Choose (or make!) a kale pesto over the traditional basil one. Maybe you want to swap roasted red peppers for the sun-dried tomatoes. You really can’t go wrong as long as you’re using ingredients you enjoy. Hummus is such a delicious blank canvas and works with so many other flavors.

To recap, the holiday hummus goes like this:

Scoop your hummus onto a pretty platter! Make it the base for your ingredients.

Swirl in your pesto. Either drizzle it on top or swirl it into the hummus – or both. Whichever you prefer!

Top with chopped sun dried tomatoes. Drizzle on a little olive oil from the jar.

Sprinkle on feta.

Serve with chips!

I find it important to mention that there are really no exact measurements here. You can use a small tub of hummus or a family size tub, and then go from there! You can’t go wrong. Of course I’m giving you a guideline below, but feel free to change it up, add more or less, depending on what you have and love.

The key is to make it super festive. And make it look fancy, even though it took you 60 seconds to throw together.

Embarrassingly easy if I do say so myself!
