A Week In The Life, Vol 13.
We had a very regular week and those are my favorite kind!
I like these regular boring weeks because I know someday I will look back and miss these exact days. Nothing overly exciting happened but we all had a good week. I am so thankful for that!
My little monkey has started climbing up everything!
Emilia is the best helper ever.
Favorite roasted veg.
Lots of sensory play this week because our Alex is the best ever. She’s been with us for five years now taking care of the kids while I work and I couldn’t do anything without her.
I mean look at this!
I saw this on busy toddler last week and knew Emilia would be obsessed. This is baking soda with colorful vinegar for a fun morning activity.
Some baby blueberry pancakes for Jordan!
All rainbow all the time. She is my child.
The little love muffin will no longer lay down in the baby tub.
I cannot handle him.
Eggs for all of us one night! We love breakfast for dinner.
More pancakes for Jordan but with raspberries this time! The recipe is 1 egg, 3/4 cup oats, 1/4 cup milk, 1 banana, cinnamon sprinkle, vanilla extract then a bunch of berries.
Saturday night Eddie and I saw the Eagles! He has wanted to see them forever. I mean, really forever. They were incredible.
They sounded sooo good. Naturally we’ve spent the entire day today blasting the music. Emilia is hooked.
Max had his first skating rink birthday party this weekend. Totally threw me back because in the 90s we had skating parties for school and they were the best time ever.
And then today we had to go get the kids a bunch of baseball/tball stuff! It all starts this week. Emilia is playing tball for the first time this year. She can wear Max’s old pants but you bet that she got her own hot pink bat, glove, socks and helmet.
Also it snowed all day. NO THANKS!
Into a new week!

I will be making some of those “Jordan pancakes” for myself sometime very soon…maybe for dinner tonight.
Love seeing the pictures. I am passing on those sensory ideas to a friend with a 3 month old for some later activities. I already passed along the baby in a laundry basket activity.
Also, an idea for Emilia…paper towels, a package of waterbased markers , water and an eye dropper. Make a good size dot of marker ink on a paper towel. Squeeze a drop of water onto the dot , wait a bit and watch what happens. The primary colors…red, yellow, blue… will simply dilute. The secondary colors…orange, green, purple… will seperate out into the primary colors that compose them. The green will seperate into yellow and blue, the orange into red and yellow and the purple into blue and red.
Black is super interesting because it is composed of many colors. The process is called Chromotography.
You can also use the kind oc coffee filters that are used in the older MR Coffee machines.
As an in-home early childhood provider myself, I wanted to thank you for that sweet shout out. It was so touching. Alex sounds like a total rockstar and is super lucky to work with such an amazing family ✨
Have a great week! ☺️
can’t help but wonder how many eggs you must go through on family breakfast-for-dinner night! love these posts, thank you for sharing!
