A Week In The Life, Vol 29.
Hello, another week!
Every week when I start these posts, I’m like, oh my gosh, it’s already the 29th week of the year… and so on. How does time fly so much!
Emilia did a tennis camp this week. She loved it!
Both kids have now been playing tennis outside every morning and afternoon. It’s the first thing they want to do when they wake up.
Made a batch of vodka sauce.
This child is climbing up things Max didn’t climb until he was 18 months, at least.
Lives for a baguette.
And matches a vibrant summer patio!
My little hockey player.
Jordan’s first time at a grocery store, in a cart, and has no idea what to do with his feet.
Popsicles on the porch.
Emilia loves to sit here and play at the water table for hours. Truly she can sit here for two hours and play alone, happy as a clam.
Reusable water balloons for the win.
She had a blast at tennis…
And lived for the playground after.
My little Jack Jack!
We ran to Barnes and Noble and Max was like “mama why is your book here in this STORE?!” Nevermind that he’s seen it in multiple stores before, but I think it finally clicked.
They gave us samples of strawberry lemonade.
Max is obsessed with different countries and states, geography, flags, etc right now. He was very excited about this puzzle and couldn’t wait to put it together.
Then we celebrated my niece Evelyn’s birthday!! Cousins!!
NINE kids. Eight of them are under the age of five. Eeeep.
We grilled smoked turkey sausage…
And made my grilled vegetable orzo. And that’s the week!

Your blue patio chair and ottoman! Love it. Perfect size. Brand?
BTW: your posts make me happy daily! They brighten my email. Thank you .
☺️
I second this question– can you share the brand of those cushions? Love!
hi!! so this is my aunt’s house and she has had these chairs forever. her’s are from lowes. i got a similar version a few years ago (maybe 4 years?) and this is what they are now. when i bought them, you could buy the chairs separately and they were no where near this price. but they are incredibly comfortable and everyone loves them!

I love it when kids can entertain themselves, without getting into trouble :-) How cute that Emilia is continuing to “pose” for the camera, my experience with that is candid shots will be rare. Love Jordan’s facial expressions. So funny that Max just realized other people could by your book, if he only knew.
Love seeing your adorable kids!!
Hi Jessica,
Last weekend we stayed over at a friend’s who lives about an hour outside of Pittsburg, in Donora, PA. When we visited last time, we stupidly drove back-and-forth the same day. Coming from Brooklyn it’s about a 7 Hour Dr.
We stayed at his home and he took us to this bakery he had been telling me about. It was heavenly. It’s called the Oakmont bakery. I’m assuming you know of it? Everything we got was delicious and I probably gained 5 pounds but it was worth it!
ahhhh yes! Amy you were so close to me. Oakmont is amazing!
I was drooling. Ah, to be close to the kindest blogger, cookbook writer, baker and amazing human. Next time I make the track I’ll have to ask you for more recommendations.
