How Sweet Eats

A peek at everything I loved in February 2023!

FOOD

Poppi. This is my newest love. I have never like carbonation, but I crave the occasional diet coke. Flavored seltzer always seems bitter to me. I discovered poppi and drink it like I do kombucha – occasionally and when I want something “special” to drink with a meal. It is fairly sweet so sometimes I do half with plain seltzer or soda water. I love the orange!

Fairlife Chocolate Protein Shakes. This is very random as for the last 15 years or so you couldn’t really pay me to drink another protein shake. But!! These are so good on the go. They have been great for Max during long hockey tournaments too, just to have a little something extra. He thinks they taste like chocolate milk and he isn’t wrong!

Lindt Mini Eggs. I talk about these every year and this is your heads up that they are available for the season. I find mine at Target and they are the BEST. So much better than any other brand.

HOME

Real Touch Tulips. Faux flowers are hard – they can just look so fake. But these look SO real. It’s crazy. Everyone has thought they are real when they come into my house!

Dazzlestik Jewelry Pen. Where has this been all my life? I love using this to clean my jewelry, especially rings with the cold weather and hand cream, etc.

BEAUTY

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream. I probably talked about this here over 10 years ago. It’s amazing, I’ve used it forever. I go through periods of forgetting about it. Thanks to Prince Harry’s book, I was reminded of it (haha, if you’ve read it!!!) and it has worked wonders on my hands and lips right now. I use it multiple times a day.

Lawless Tinted Lip Balm. My favorite lip gloss now comes in a balm. Super pretty, and one you don’t need a mirror to apply.

Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Blush. I have the shade “happy” and love it. This was a tiktok find and it is worth it! I love cream blush and this cool pink shade is so pretty.

FASHION

Think Royln Urban Legend Bag. This is what I’m carrying crossbody with my kids right now. I’ve used my mz wallace crossbody for years (years!!!) and this is a more updated, very slightly more structured version. It’s big enough to carry one of the kids waters and some wipes, etc – but not too big. It’s also really lightweight.

Vuori Joggers. These are so darn comfortable. I’ve had a pair for over a year but just got another – they are so soft and light and easy to wear.

Tech Gloves. These live in my car. They are SO WARM. Perfect and not expensive so if you lose a glove (like I always do) it’s not the end of the world.

MEDIA

Carrie Soto Is Back. I can’t believe how much I loved this. By far my favorite book of the month.

Shrinking. This show on Apple TV is fantastic. The cast is incredible, the show has me laughing out loud multiple times. Have you watched it?!

The Mel Robbins Podcast. I have loved Mel for years and it really picked up over the pandemic. I love how real and down to earth she is.

KIDS

Zingo. Emilia got this game last year for her birthday and we.love.it.so.much. It is SO fun to play, it’s quick, it’s just so enjoyable! And the kids can play without an adult too.

Investigators Series. Max loves to read right now, and he still enjoys the occasional graphic novel that he started on a few years ago. When I picked up the newest gator book for him, he was so excited! These are fast and easy reads now, but he loves them and rereads them over and over. He says they are his favorite.

1001 Things to Spot in Fairyland. Emilia got this for christmas and LOVES it. This is a great car book. Hours of entertainment!!

  1. What color are the tulips you have? I honestly love fake flowers. I have a beautiful bouquet of peonies that I used as my wedding bouquet and they are now in my office-everyone thinks they are real!

  2. Thanks so much for the Investigator book recommendation – I picked it up for my 7 year from the library and he couldn’t put it down! Turned back on his light to read after I said good night last night  last night and then woke up early to read more this morning!
Few things make me happier than seeing my kids share in my love for reading!
