Grilled Honey Butter Chicken.
This grilled honey butter chicken is so juicy and delicious and goes with any summer side dish! Seasoned chicken is brushed with garlic honey butter and grilled until smoky and flavorful. Major favorite over here!
Easy summer dinner is here for you today!
I am always looking for new and exciting (yet easy!) grilled chicken recipes that I can serve with just about anything. This grilled honey butter chicken is perfect and so so simple. Chicken is seasoned with lots of spices before being tossed on the grilled, then basted and brushed with a melted butter and honey combo.
It’s savory, smoky, sticky, sweet, tender and so juicy.
I love to serve this with my zucchini and corn orzo salad for the best weeknight meal. The orzo salad can be made ahead of time – it can also be served warm or cold, like a pasta salad. All the flavors complement the chicken so well and it has become a go-to in our house.
The kids also love it, which is always a huge win!
This is how easy it comes together. Truly, the easiest!
I season my chicken with salt, pepper, smoked paprika and garlic powder. I love this combination and use it often. And I do a mix of chicken thighs and boneless, skinless breasts here too. You can use whatever you like! I grill the chicken for about 5 to 6 minutes per side. This will depend on the heat of your grill, the size of your chicken, etc. Which is why I like to have this thermometer on hand to make sure the chicken reaches 165 degrees F.
While the chicken grills, I stir together butter and honey in a saucepan over medium heat. I let it bubble a little bit – the butter melts and soon enough you have a savory buttery honey mixture.
Once the chicken is almost finished, I brush the honey butter on and turn it a few times. I repeat this another one or two times.
As soon as the chicken comes off the grill, I brush it with even more of the honey butter. Then serve it up with the orzo. Delish.
So simple, but so full of flavor. The leftovers also work for just about any chicken dish, which is another huge win!

This was good, we’re going to add a bit more heat next time-maybe a cayenne or spicy honey.
We did this on the stove and it was great!
Can this be made ahead of time and kept warm in a roaster?
