Tuesday Things.
1. Dying to make these rice krispy treat christmas trees!
2. Let’s talk planners! Do you have a new planner lined up for 2024?
3. The best thing right now is that Jordan adores soup. It’s actually hilarious and cute, he asks for soup everyday. So we make a different kind of soup every few days for him to try!
4. This makes me want a tuna melt.
5. TV things!! I’ve been rewatching Gilmore Girls. I also finished My Life with the Walter Boys and while some of it was cute, I also thought it was kind of terrible?
6. Fill your home with life, not stuff. Love this!
7. What are your christmas morning traditions?
8. Definitely thought we had closer to two weeks left before the 25th. I have major mom brain right now!

Oh Christmas. I totally thought we had it all together and then I realized I don’t know what we’re going to eat for breakfast on the 24th and dinner on the 25th. Guess we should nail that down pretty soon here ;)
I get up around 7, and it’s usually just my husband and I for the 90 minutes or so. I use that time to just enjoy the only peace of the day, usually curled up with a book and hot tea by the big tree. All of my immediate family is out of town, so I have a house full of overnight guests on Christmas morning. I always make Pioneer Woman’s cinnamon rolls a week or so before Christmas and reserve two to three pans in the freezer for Christmas morning. Around 8:45, I’ll start warming those up, cooking bacon, and setting up mimosas and coffee with Bailey’s. The smells start dragging my guests downstairs. When my daughter still believed in Santa Claus, we’d open Santa presents while everything was warming up (and our day got started MUCH earlier). Now, I drag her teenage self out of bed around 9:30, when breakfast is ready! She usually makes a pan of scrambled eggs to add to the spread. We then eat, and after, open stockings; everyone is still in their PJs. Everyone disperses to get dressed, and by the time that is done, it’s noon (my mom insists each person open their presents one by one, and most of us have two stockings as she also still insists on getting one for everyone so stocking opening takes hours)!
I, too have started watching Gilmore Girls and I love it so much!! It’s just such a feel good show that has no violence and language in it and I didn’t realize how much I appreciate that till I started watching.
We have a dairy farm so the cows get milked before anything starts at our house on Christmas morning. Everyone goes to the barn to help then we all come in for cinnamon rolls and presents. It’s so special. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
