Because last time I apparently didn’t learn my lesson.
And this time, he came home with only this.
All I needed were potatoes. But last night we were conversing about the lack of snacks in our house. Clearly he was so starved on the drive home that he had to dig into the Mountain Dew and pretzels. And that orange juice sure isn’t for his breakfast. It’s for something that begins with a “v” and ends in an “odka.”

I’m Jessica and this is where I share my stuff. You will find a balance of healthy recipes, comfort food and indulgent desserts.
Your husband is epic.

That’s quite the change from his last shopping trip!

Hahaha. I want Teddy Grahams. And vodka.

Did he at least remember the potatoes?

Hahaha, shopping fail.
But don’t send him back out for them. He’ll somehow manage to come back with more mini race cars or something.

That’s just…incredible.
Oooh Nutter Butter….!

OMG This is something my husband would do FOR SURE!!! Love it!

I’m pretty sure your husband and my brother were separated at birth. We should ask them about weird birthmarks too, because they could just be the same conjoined person…
Reply
well looks like he covered the important stuff:-)

At least he got Diet Mt. Dew!
Reply
So funny! I LOVE choc-chip Teddy Grahams, though. LOVE.
Reply
This is truly priceless. As are the expressions on those Teddy Grahams. They look too happy for life in a box :)
Reply
Bahahah! I can’t wait till I love with a man :)
Reply
At least it’s diet mtn dew! Coming from a Pepsi employee!

I don’t know what it is about men and teddy grahams. They love ‘em. My husband would have bought a very similar assortment of groceries. Thank goodness they have us :o)
Reply
I’ve never had Teddy Grahams. They must be good :)
Reply
It’s amazing what they will come home with. I’m surprised mine didn’t come home with nutter butters when I sent him to the store today. He has been talking about them recently.
Reply
Omg… that’s too funny!

It must never be a dull moment in your house with Mr. How Sweet around.

Sounds like something my husband would do too! I need to compile a list of random things he says every now & again.
Reply
My husband drinks Diet Dew too. Blech.
Reply
Teddy Grahams are the BEST!
Reply
Bahaha! Def something my husband would do. Except he hides it back in the lazy susan, and then I’ll randomly find Zebra cakes when reaching for some veggie broth LOL

Luckily my husband can’t hide anything from me. At least… I don’t think so…

It’s funny how we’re just gluttons for punishment… I keep sending my hubby to the store, too, and never learn… ;D
Reply
hahaha, oh man.
Reply
Oh, dear. You should tattoo your grocery list to his hands when you send him out…

If only I could…

Hahaha… love it. When my hubs tags along with me to the grocery store, he always manages to sneak snack-y stuff into the cart. I can only imagine the junk he’d buy if he went all by his lonesome, without any adult supervision ;).
Reply
Another reason why our husbands could be besties – honestly… this is what happens every time I send the Husband to the store. I’m sorry, aren’t the snacks I make for your from scratch enough? Guess not…
Reply
bahaha that scene looks vaguely familiar.
Reply
haha this is what the boyfriend always buys at the grocery store. he loves his snacks!
Reply
oh great. now I’m craving OJ in a baaaad way.
Reply
oooh, nutterbutters… haven’t had those in a LONG time!
Reply
and this is why i don’t send nate to the store…he’s really good about getting what i want, and also really good at getting stuff that we DO NOT need!
Reply
hahahah I love it!! :)
Reply
Haha. See, you need to send a detailed list. My husband’s pretty good at following The List. Except you have to be uber detailed or you’ll end up with something you don’t want.
For example: I asked for “chips”, thinking I wanted BBQ fritos or funyuns.
He came back with generic Wavy Lays. I was a sad panda, but it was totally my fault.

Oh.. I know this so well! my bf would never come home with the things we need if I wouldn’t write him a list :D

I love the posts about your husband. I try to never send my husband to the store. I normally get countless phone calls about exactly what kind to buy, where to find it, etc. And I get extra things. Things that are not on the list. It’s really better to just go myself.

Oh my gosh… the phone calls, I get them too. Usually one, and he is fine. But come the second, third, fourth phone call, he is miserable.

In all fairness, Mr. How Sweet’s thought “Baby, would you go to the store and pick up some potatoes?” was more of a suggestion. :)
Reply
Hehe. Mr. How Sweet is funny :-)

We could totally get along..looks like a perfect shopping trip. I would have thrown in a bag of carrots for good measure.
Reply
HAHAHAHAHAHA I love it. Mine brings home cookies, chips, and soda.

OMG…I am wondering if he is (secretly) the father of my 15 yr. old son!!! My son would have done exactly (TO THE TEE) the very same thing!!! That is Hilariously Hysterical!!! :):) ROFLMBO. :):)
