My eyes just about bulged out of my head when I got the mail yesterday.
Reader Kristen sent me these:
Yes. I know. I almost died too.
Kristen told me they lasted her about a week. Um, excuse me… a week? These are never going to last that long. They taste even better than they look. And I am a chocolate snob! I am obsessed. Has anyone else ever tasted these or seen them? I need to buy as many boxes as I can.

I’m Jessica and this is where I share my stuff. You will find a balance of healthy recipes, comfort food and indulgent desserts.
I’m so happy to have found this website, because I no longer feel any shame in my cake batter (or cookie batter, or muffin batter…) addiction.
The chocolates are from Macy’s! I purchased them at the Macy’s on State Street in Chicago, but I’ve never been to a Macy’s without a Frango counter.
I hope they are ready for all the How Sweet readers to storm their stores in search of limited edition cake batter chocolates!

Ok I purchased these tonight thanks to Jessica! They are absolutely divine. I got them at the Macy’s on State Street, Chicago. I have a contact who works there in the candy department as you can do a purchase/ship over the phone…her name is Valerie and you can reach her directly at the store at 312-781-4658. They have S’mores limited edition as well.

I remember when you could only buy Frango chocolates at Marshall Fields and the dark chocolate mint were my go-to goodies. These look absolutely sinful and must be tried!

MUST FIND NOW. Yum!

I’ve definitely seen them at Macy’s. Check there.

Found them and they ARE delicious! I got the box that has 15 pieces in it, and it was on sale from $9 down to $6.30. SCORE!

The funny thing is, there is barely any info on the box. They are from Macy’s, and by Frango.
I froze them yesterday – have to admit that I didn’t like them frozen! The inside gets so hard that it is impossible to bite into them. I almost broke my tooth. But it is good for portion control. ;)

i will just have to walk to macy’s on my lunch hour and see if i can find them.

I actually made something similar to these in the last few days. Mine are much bigger and don’t look as pretty but all I did was bake a cake mix then crumble it and mix with frosting then dip it into chocolate. I call mine cake balls. And they are delicious. The ones I’ve made are dark chocolate cream cheese, double chocolate peanut butter and double vanilla wwith sprinkles.

I make cake balls a lot too, but these are nothing like them. The inside is almost… firm and crunchy? It’s like nothing I’ve ever experienced!

Elizabeth — March 16th, 2011 @ 12:05 pm
Nicki, everyone knows these are cake balls.
Reply
No way girl!!! You are so lucky!!!! I wonder if you could make these….. It would save you the trip to the store at 3am. ;)
Do you think you could come up with a recipe for these? :) I would love you for the rest of my life!!! :D
