1. I’ve been making a simpler and healthier version of the tiramisu french toast for a snack.

Whole grain bread, mascarpone mixed with expresso powder, vanilla and honey, and topped with strawberries. It’s not as good as the real thing, but still delicious.

2. Still trying to figure out how to say “mascarpone.” And wondering why I don’t sound like a complete sexpot when I say it like Giada does.

3.  And why don’t I look like Giada when I cook either? Not fair. Note: must buy Wonder Bra.

4. Yes, these are what you think they are.

Trader Joe’s mini peanut butter cups. Sad day.

But not really. I picked them right back up.

5. I may have contracted a serious life-threatening disease from eating something off my floor. If you don’t hear from me tomorrow, send help.

6. In keeping with tradition, Mr. How Sweet made these pancakes Sunday. They literally were the best pancakes I’ve ever had. Maybe because I was so hungry? Or because he put exactly 12 chocolate chips in each one? Or because I just ran 10 miles?

Just kidding. I will never run 10 miles. Ever. I’d probably die.

7. I really should consider doing #6 more often. The pancakes, not the running.

LOL ~ I love these posts!! I would have definitely picked those up to; I am a firm believer in the 3 second rule…or two minute rule if that’s what it takes :-)

Those pancakes looks awesome — I’m sending my husband over right now to get cooking lessons for yours. I’ll make sure he gets dolled up in his best shirt with cutoff sleeves (I thought my husband was the only one who did this until I found your blog :-))

Those strawberries topped toasts are great for any time….and your baked Parmesan spaghetti looks to die for!

I’d eat those babies off the floor two. I happen to go by the 20 second rule if it involves chocolate.

I absolutely love pancakes, my favourite restaurant is actually a great little pancake place nearby. Pancakes have been on my mind quite a bit recently, except I’m horrible at making them :) (sad.. I know). You have made me crave them even more. And I have to say as someone who runs quite frequently, you’re making the right decision by prioritizing pancakes over running :).

Haha, nobody looks like Giada while cooking, except Giada, and she’s probably got lots of help. I cook in my pajamas, even if it’s the middle of the day. So yeah, I’ve got that going for me.

Yum to all your goodies and about droping food on the floor I do not know who is the fastest, hubby or the dog. Nothing goes to waste in this house. Paulette

I love that you use the word ‘sexpot’ too. I’m glad I’m not the only one.
PS: don’t tell (not that you would) but that’s Craig’s nickname. Haha! It came about a LONG time ago..and it’s not what you are thinking! (& please don’t think I’m a total weirdo for leaving you this comment..I just have never seen anyone else use it :) )

I wonder how Giada does it every.dang.day. I cook in my pajamas. With my hair in an ugly pony tail. A wonder bra might be a good first step.

There’s a reason why I don’t called Giada by her name. I simply refer to her as “Perky Boobs”. Even my mom calls her that.

And floor food is worth contracting a disease for. Husband dropped one of my Double Chocolate Oreo Crunch (ironically one of your recipes!) cookies on the floor… Fresh from the oven, still gooey. Yeah. It was still delicious.
