In case you were wondering, this is what frozen vegetables look like when you hate vegetables.
And I snapped this picture without realizing it today in mid-cook mania. I just came across it.
Ummm… sprinkles, garlic, an 8-year old container of chicken bouillon cubes, a random potato, some Clorox, and an unidentified liquid. This is my life.

baa haaa… I never have peas in my house, but… sometimes I buy frozen green beans (for Jason!) and they end up looking like this too… :D

The only thing frozen peas are good for is making ice compresses that mold perfectly around injured joints or after surgery. They are far better than any real ice compresses.
I love the pic. It truly captures life as a cook.

I feel your icy pain.
Whenever I fear veggies are going to go bad in my house I chop them up and freeze them. That gives me at least a year before I have to throw them away.

I’m pretty sure I have some bags of frozen veggies that look like that! Although I’d never have peas in the fridge — I ate them way too often as a kid (aka my parents force fed us peas) and I can’t stand the taste/smell/texture of them now. Yuck!

i love that your counter looked like that. it makes me feel better about life. i was starting to wonder what was wrong with me because all my ingredients never just line up beautifully to have their picture taken in the middle of my crazed cooking. now i know that maybe this is normal and maybe it actually takes some work on my part to get them looking appropriate.

I love love love veggies, but peas are without a doubt the worst one out there. I probably have a bag in the freezer that looks just like that!
