Cake Batter Martinis.
This has my name alllll over it.
I know I just shared a big, fuzzy drink with you yesterday but before you go voting me off the island, hear me out.
I.couldn’t.help.it.
I teased you about it last week and couldn’t wait another day to share!
So here’s the deal. I strive my hardest to develop recipes to share with you guys that are simple, easy, and most importantly – filled with accessible ingredients that you most likely have on hand.
This obviously doesn’t fit that bill… but can you blame me?
I have no issue running to the grocery store and spending major bucks to create a recipe to tell you about… however, I just can’t justify dropping a benny at the liquor store for one outlandish drink that I may sip once a year. I had all of these ingredients on hand – except for creme do cacao, which I did purchase (it was cheap: $11.)
[And really, while we’re in the circle of trust here I will tell you that I searched high and low (read: 5 different liquor stores) for this cake-flavored vodka. If you can find it… smuggle me a bottle. I’ll zip my lips.]
I highly suggest buying the whipped cream vodka because, um… well hello? It’s whipped cream vodka. For reals. And the Godiva liqueur is just… white chocolate liqueur… does it need an explanation?
K. I’m gonna shut up now because I have you convinced to go buy 7 bottles of booze while you’re still in your pajamas.
I’ll be honest: I didn’t have high expectations for this drink. I love my heavy cream in everything from brownies to mac and cheese, but in my alcoholic drinks? Not a fan. Don’t even try to give me a white russian. But this totally changed my mind. I’m not sure I could drink more than one (okay… who are we kidding…), but they were super fun actually tasted like cake batter. Once in a lifetime drink if ya ask me!
Cake Batter Martinis
Ingredients
- 1 ounce amaretto
- 1 1/2 ounces Pinnacle whipped cream vodka
- 1 1/2 ounces creme de cacao
- 1/2 ounce Godiva white chocolate liqueur
- 1 ounce heavy cream
- assorted sprinkles, nonpareils work best
- frosting
Instructions
- Using your finger, coat the rim of your glass with frosting – make sure not to miss any spots! Dump sprinkles on a plate and press glass rim into sprinkles, pressing to adhere. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake for about 30 seconds. Strain into glass and drink!
- [If you do not want to buy any of these crazy ingredients, try the original version I adapted above which only requires vanilla vodka. It is still delicious but wasn’t quite “cupcake material” in my opinion. But you know I’m whack.]
Notes
Did you make this recipe?
Be sure to follow @howsweeteats on instagram and tag #howsweeteats. You can also post a photo of your recipe to our facebook page.
I appreciate you so much!
Oh P.S. -> just don’t look in the mirror after you’re done. Your lips and tongue will be sprinkle-colored. Totally worth it. Now no more drink recipes! [until next weekend.]

OH. MY. GOSH.
I’m a fan of Sprinkles and love this…. probably a lot too much!
omg. making this ASAP. it reminds me of a drink i had in vegas a few months ago…a red velvet martini @ the sugar factory. TO.DIE.FOR. they should totally add this to their menu. also – the whipped cream vodka is AMAZING in root beer or orange soda!
In the past year, I’ve been drinking more bitter cocktails rather than sweet drinks. But I’ll have to admit… this just made me smile :)
Thanks for sharing!
OMG how fun!
Sounds delish! Love all those sprinkles! This has “ladies night” written all over it!
Amazing! I need to come over for a party! Love this! These would be awesome for a fun bachelorette party drink!!
Girl your recipes have been killing me lately. Love this one too

I have had that cake vodka, but you aren’t missing out. It pretty much tastes like vanilla vodka!
I vote for this to be named the official “How Sweet It Is” cocktail…it is SO YOU, Jessica! I’m not sure if I can find the whipped cream vodka, but if I can I am so making this! Cheers! :-)
Jess, you out did yourself on this one!!! I’m off to the liquor store :)
I’m really gonna have to try this! Sounds delish!
There is whipped cream flavored vodka?? I wonder if the liquor store is open at 11:30 a.m….
This looks awesome – I love the sprinkle rim!
omgoodness. cake batter martinis? thats genius!!!!!!!
they look beautiful!
whoa. that looks seriously amazing. i’m obsessed with whipped cream vodka, so i’m sure i would LOVE this. whipped cream vodka + orange soda = creamsicle, btw :)
This kind of recipe is the reason I read–fun, delicious, and a total treat! You’re my kind of girl!
i live in maryland, and that cake vodka is everywhere! i’ve actually got a half bottle in my freezer…. it’s delicious. it tastes like a slice of vanilla cake. and pinnacle isnt the only brand that makes it! if you were serious about someone sending you a bottle, let me know! my email is klee _ 13 @ msn . com. (remove the spaces, of course.) :)
i realize that might sound a little creepy, considering i’ve never commented on anything before. but i’ve been a lurker here for ages! i love every recipe you’ve put out, and have made quite a few of them. im just painfully shy, even in internet land!
Far out! Why didn’t I see this on my birthday last week? I would have easily dropped everything to make it. WOW!
I think that means you need to re-celebrate, no?
Ridiculous, genius, amazing … I can’t even come up with better adjectives right now.
These are beyond fun Jessica!
Have you been to a Hy-Vee looking for cake vodka yet? That’s the only place I’ve seen it!
I love love love the whipped cream vodka! Love it even more that you’ve shared a recipe for it! Mmmm cake batter.. martini…. :)
This looks tasty! And I was just at the liquor store yesterday and saw that very vodka! I live in Oklahoma though… might be kinda hard to smuggle you a bottle :-/
This is so crazy that I need a party to center around these. I will find an excuse! Whipped cream vodka sounds too good pass up.
I live in Washington state and I searched my state’s liquor control board website for “Pinnacle cake.” I found the vodka across the state and in multiple stores in my city! You can search by product and the results are listed by city then store. You should definitely try that to find it where you live!
These look great! I live in a college town, so I’ve seen the cake vodka several times. Should I use it instead of whipped?
Ah. Mah. Gah.
Do you know that i actually HAVE whipped cream vodka in my fridge???
And Amaretto.
True Story.
Holy cannoli… This is too much!! I love you (but I’m pretty sure my liver will hate you) for introducing me to cake vodka. P.S. If you happen to find a Sigel’s, the one by me carries tons of Pinnacle flavors (including cake)!
This is the perfect signature birthday drink! Or maybe the signature tonight drink…. :)
I LOVE that Pinnacle Whipped Vodka. It changed my life. :)
You should check out Cupcake vodkas (they also make wine). They have a devil’s food, vanilla frosting, and lemon chiffon flavored vodkas. I’d LOVE to see what you’d whip up with those!
Oh. my. gosh.
Such a fun cocktail & I love the rim of sprinkles!!
This sounds so cool! I’ve got a 21st birthday coming up soon and this sounds like the perfect way to celebrate. :D
I love everything about this–especially the sprinkle rim!! I’ve always wondered what you were supposed to do with that whipped cream vodka. Now I know!
Im pretty sure this is one of those things that you can drink and then exclaim “It’s ok if you take me, I will have died happy.” Might be too good to be true but I’m going to try it & worst case scenario we will just have alcohol & frosting, two things perfect for a girls night
The UV cake vodka is much better!
This looks like the perfect birthday drink!
1 word for you: UV Cake…well I don’t know how many words to call that (2?) but it’s worth trying!!
Very nice! Just like Mel above me, I was about to recommend UV Cake. I’ve sampled both Pinnacle Cake and UV Cake (and wrote about the experiences)–in this house, we prefer UV Cake. Though I am a HUGE fan of Pinnacle Whipped. YUM!
I think I have everything on hand to make this so I know what I’ll be doing tomorrow… ;)
Thanks for posting and sharing this. Your post had been very useful and informative. I’ll be looking forward for your next post.
Sprinkles! OMG It has sprinkles! My husband is rolling his eyes and groaning knowing he will see one in the house tomorrow because it has SPRINKLES!
Out here in California there is a store called BevMo! They carry the Pinnacle brand of vodkas but did not have the “Cake” but they did have the “Whipped” flavor. They also carry another brand of vodka available in “Cake” and its the brand UV. Never heard of it, but maybe if no one else can find the Pinnacle brand, they can look for the UV brand. These sound delish and may have to make these for my “Birthday Cake” next month!!!
This. Is. Amazing.
Looks delish and sooo cute! This brightened my day! Love the rim! I always love using rims to dress up any kind of drink. Even non-alcoholic! Like for my daughters 8th birthday earlier this summer, I made lemonade in martini glasses with colorful sugar on the rims. But the sprinkles! I’ll havvvee to try. Maybe on a mug of hot cocoa or milk or something? You know, I want to mimic this cute look without a bunch of stumbling children.
Too stinkin’ cute!!!!
Love the sprinkle rim, how cute!
OMG!! Vernors!!! HIP HIP HOORAY~~~I have not seen Vernors since I left my home state of Michigan for New Jersey (don’t judge). I am not sure if I am more teared up about the Vernors or Leininkugels beer ……. I love both dearly.
