Chocolate Chip Cookie Bailey’s Milkshakes.
This is a story all about how I put giant chocolate chip cookies into a blender. With homemade Bailey’s.
Again. Because it wasn’t too long ago that I did nearly the same thing… again. With kahlua. It’s just that… I made the homemade irish cream over the holidays and obviously when you have a giant pitcher of something like that in your fridge, it calls out to you.
I’m serious. Every morning when I opened the fridge and that was the first thing I saw? It was nearly impossible not to guzzle some of it’s deliciousness right there. Merry Christmas to me.
But even before I made that elixir of the gods I knew that if I was going to attempt something like that in my kitchen, I would be putting it in these milkshakes. And I thought, wow – how good would some of those brown butter chocolate chip cookies I made be inside of a bailey’s milkshake? phenomenal, right? yessssss.
Then I went to grab some of those brown butter chocolate chip cookies I made and uh, they were gone. Missing, stolen, destroyed… however you want to look at it, they had disappeared. Annnnnd to make matters worse, I think there was, like, six dozen? Maybe?
I think I ate them all. *Think.*
Anyhoo, I was lucky enough to be making these spiked shakes at noon on a Sunday, which fortunately meant I could pick up some of my favorite chocolate chips ever. Which also probably means I have a whole other host of issues, but whatever. Totally worth it.

I just so happen to have leftover Bailey’s from New Years :) I know what I’m making tomorrow for my 30th birthday drink! :)
Gosh this looks like heaven on a plate! Seriously without a doubt!
In a cup, not a plate. It’s Saturday morning and my brain is a bit foggy apparently.
Looks amazing!
Just a quick question though, do you use a dry or a more soft cookie for this?
Or does it not really matter?
Either way, Ill be trying this asap!
Okay, so a bit of an embarrassing factoid about me … I’m like Monica freaking out on Chandler when it comes to spills and “crummies” (yes, I just referred to 90’s sitcommers as real-life people, and yes, I compared myself to the female in the relationship. Deal with it). Then again, knowing my sister like you do, this might not even come as a surprise. Anywho – only YOU can make a complete mess of a counter and an overflowing glass of stickiness look so fan-friggin-tastic that my raging OCDness doesn’t feel the need to come clean it for you. Well done.
…are you my therapist?
Umm, sorry to interrupt you and this might be totally irrelevant BUT there’s practically no term such as ‘OCDness’. OCD isn’t about quirky tendencies. So many people happen to misuse the term. It saddens me that people use this term so casually, like ‘oh I like cleanliness or I just cant stand it when things aren’t in order’ etcetra. OCD isn’t about cleanliness or orderliness. It is a serious mental illness which includes paralyzing doubt and anxiety clouding one’s perception of things. It isn’t (again) quirky or fashionable, its an absolute nightmare; a nightmare that occurs day and night and doesn’t stop. It requires constant medical attention. So, no! People who say they’re so OCD or they’ve got ‘OCDness’, they so don’t. All they’ve got is some quirks n thats alright to have but not alright to label it as OCD.
P.S.-Just doing my part in spreading awareness.
You mentioned you got to buy your “favorite chocolate chips” but did not say which ones?? Please share!
Making this tomorrow. Because it`s 2013 and resolutions are for over-achievers. I figure 2012 was pretty sweet so i`ll stick to the same game plan, plus this crazy concoction too. Of course.
Get.in.my.face.
These sound so good. Cookies and coffee and liquor in a milkshake? Yes Please!
I just love that you put these in bar glasses. Really ups the ante :-) Look delicious!!
These make me smile, and even though I just ate a huge brunch, I want one. Now. Next time I make chocolate chip cookies I am making these!
