It’s the most wonderful time of the month!

Eeeeeep. I just realized this will be my LAST monthly favorites before having a baby and that kind of (really) freaks me the heck out. I’m hoping that in December I will have time to share my favorites, although yes, I realize that all I will probably be using is shampoo and concealer or something. We will play it by ear! In the meantime, I can still relish in being a product junkie for a few more minutes.

A ton of stuff from last month is still in my daily rotation. All the lipsticks I talked about last month – especially the too faced melted berry and MAC relentlessly red – have been staples. The hourglass ambient powder in luminous light never leaves my side, it’s so gorgeous. I’ve gone through another caudalie moisturizing toner and don’t think I will ever use another toner again. The andalou naturals SPF cream for daytime and the first aid beauty ultra repair cream at night are the best. I still use the same shampoo + conditioner (macadamia oil) and the kenra blow dry spray (life saver).

Now onto this month’s loves…

I only got a few things at the sephora VIB sale because I had bigger expenses on my mind (cough cough, a stroller, cough) but I love what I got! I got an extra anastasia brow gel because I’m obsessed and a fresh sugar lip therapy balm, but I also got this soap and glory smoothie body butter. It smells like HEAVEN. Ugh. So so good. It says pistachio, almond and vanilla scented? Hello, feed me. It’s delectable.

For some reason I always stayed away from soap and glory stuff but I absolutely love this. I want to eat it.

I also grabbed the philosophy fresh cream body lotion and perfume. I have been eyeing this for months after getting a sample at sephora. It’s another scent that I basically want to eat – it’s a super light vanilla. I like layering it with my bond no. 9 west side (favorite perfume of ALL time) and just dousing myself in it after showers. Given my obsession with rollerball perfumes, I probably would have just bought a rollerball instead of the spray. But they don’t make one and I ended up with the larger bottle which is fine since I want to cover myself in it about forty times a day.

I know I talk about this instant age rewind concealer a bunch and have for years, but it’s just soooooo excellent! I especially love it in the winter because it’s almost moisturizing (I also use MAC prolongwear but it’s a little drier). The color (I use the lightest one) is so complimentary and I go through these like crazy. They do get kind of messy as you can see above, but it’s just smooth and perfect and wonderful.

I almost threw my hourglass ambient lighting powder into this favorites AGAIN because I still can’t get enough, but instead of boring you with that I figured I’d tell you the brush I use with it. It’s this sephora #74 brush and I’ve had it for a few months – it is ideal for putting that highlighter on my cheeks! I like that it has a little case that covers the brush too, because when I was traveling over the last few months, the shimmer of the highlight wouldn’t transfer to other brushes or stuff in my bag.

I’m not a huge brush person – I put on my tinted moisturizer with my beauty blender and hands, do concealer with my fingers, heck, even do eyeshadow with my fingers a lot of the time. But this one is definitely worth it. The other brushes I have are mostly real techniques ones that I get at ulta.

Another oldie but goodie that I’ve been blowing through is my MAC fix+. I know there are two camps on this product and some think it’s a waste, but I really like it – especially in the winter. It seems to set my makeup and almost make things… glowy? I swear it’s not a pregnancy thing either. I have a bunch of little travel bottles too that I like to keep in my purse. I think they’ve changed the packaging on this and it’s almost time for a new one… so I’m really hoping it’s the same stuff?

I’ve been wearing lots of neutral eyes the last few months (err… I should say “year” as I’ve become really boring (read: old) with my eyeshadow) and lately I’ve been doing sparkly neutral colors with the dark/bright lip. My obsession with urban decay 24/7 liners knows no bounds – they are so soft and creamy – and I think I’ve even talked about this one in sabbath before. It’s a matte navy, but when it goes on it’s allllllmost black. I like to do a super thin line and smudge it out just ever so slightly.

These are the eyeshadows I’ve been LIVING in the last month. The second won’t be a surprise, but this nars shadow in callisto is to die for. It is SO super shimmery and very light – a lot lighter than it looks in the pan – but leans slightly grayish/pinkish/purpleish/cool toned. It’s also super smooth. These two shadows are the only things I’ve been using along with that lorac mego pro palette which I cannot get enough of. It’s a daily staple too.

And my loreal infallible shadow in iced latte – this is a product I couldn’t live without. I know I’ve talked about it a ton but it’s just so shimmery and brightens the eyes and is smooth and creamy. It’s in my daily barely-wear-makeup routine too. It works in all seasons.

One other thing I grabbed at the VIB sale was this formula X polish in alchemy. I can’t find it online anymore (well it’s on amazon for a RIDICULOUS price) but it may still be in stores – though I know it was limited edition. I adore all things rose gold and this is a rose gold-ish polish with colored glitter flecks and it so holiday appropriate. I die over these polishes. They never chip!

While waiting to check out in the dreaded sephora line (I swear I could easily rack up $100 in that maze of sample products near the counter), I grabbed a travel size of dry bar triple sec texturizer spray. I’d been wanting to try it since it seemed to do what my beloved batiste dry shampoo does but without being a dry shampoo. However, I’ve tried other dry bar products on my hair and have hated every single one. Hence the sample size.

Um, I adore this. First, it smells so freaking good. Kind of like coconut but not strong coconut, kind of like tropical islands or something. It doesn’t have the white residue that dry shampoo has (especially if you spray it like four inches from your scalp) but really adds texture and volume. I reeeeally want to get the large size when this runs out.
