January Favorites: 8 Food & Lifestyle Items I’m Loving.
Hey hey! Sharing eight things that I’ve been loving in January today. The only thing I don’t have on here is a book, because I just start Verity last night. Eeeep! Here’s my winter reading list if you need some ideas.
8 things I’m loving in January:
Top Shop Heart Quarter Zip. I saw this in the store but only in the smallest sizes. I was dying over it! As soon as we got home, I bought it online and I just love it. It’s so cute and not as bulky as those Thread and Supply ones that everyone wears. It’s actually thinner than you’d expect – like normal Topshop quality.
A Star is Born Soundtrack. I can’t stop listening to this! It’s so darn good.
Naturally Calm. I have seen people use this for years, but wasn’t sure about it and thought it contained melatonin. I never like how I feel with melatonin, so I’ve ignored this product. Then I realized you can get the magnesium-only version. Wow. I am obsessed with this. Sounds cliche but it actually does calm me at night and I have a great sleep. If you’re a regular reader, you know that I hate sleep. I don’t have a problem once I’m sleeping, but getting to sleep? I just hate it. I always had sleep anxiety as a child and trying to get myself into bed is near impossible, especially now that I have tons of work to do! Anyhoo – this is helping immensely. I realize it could be a placebo effect, but… eh. I’ve tried the original and the orange. Orange is my fave!
Tortiyahs Chips. Yes. That is how you spell it. This was an impulse purchase at Target and for some reason, these are the best tortilla chips we’ve ever tasted. The seasoned version is so good. I’ve served them at a few parties and everyone freaks over them! You must try.
Lululemon Cloudscape Jacket. Okay, I am not sure I’ve ever been so obsessed with a coat before. This is the ultimate mom coat. It’s kind of ugly, and they no longer have the color that I bought (it’s a holographic olive green) but this is the lightest and warmest coat I’ve ever bought. Ever. I only wish it had a hood. This is obvi not something I wear to dress up, but everywhere else and to run around with the kids, it is perfection.
this Paper Source Heart Mug. I’m very into Valentine’s Day decor and got two of these mugs. I could not be more in love! I don’t even like to use actual mugs (doubled walled glasses are my go-to), but these I adore. They are the perfect size and so pretty.
Dang Coconut Chips. Ugh. I can’t stop. These are so freaking good. If you’re a coconut lover, they make for the best treat!
Hunter Insulated Short Black Boots. I have tall Hunters from almost ten years ago, but when I saw these short ones in the leopard print, I just about died. I bought them with a Christmas gift card and that was the best decision, considering we have had tons of rain. And I love that they are insulted too.

I am loving so many of these things too!! Natural Calm is THE BEST. I have been using it forever and it is completely life changing. I like the raspberry lemon flavor. Sleep has never been deeper.
I also am obsessed with everything coconut and the Dang chip are unreal…like dangerous. I am obsessed with coconut butter currently and weirdly very into cream of rice with coconut butter and sometimes mix in cocoa powder with the coconut chips or flakes on top! Dead.

My son has sleep anxiety and we bought him a weighted blanket. It has made a HUGE difference. Highly recommend.
I don’t think it’s a placebo effect with the magnesium. I’ve been taking just regular magnesium tablets and my sleep has been incredible!
YES!! A Star Is Born soundtrack is playing All. Day. Long. in my house. Just cannot get enough!

Natural Calm is awesome! For a while, I was mixing mine into diluted orange juice first thing every morning (I don’t need the sleep effects – I use it more for workout recovery and, erm, keeping things moving. haha). Then someone turned me onto a different form of magnesium that is absorbed better – magnesium glycinate – and that’s what I take now. The one I have (KAL) comes as chewable orange-flavored tablets. Check it out!
And oh, that quarter zip pullover looks SO COMFORTABLE. Need.
Natural Calm is amazing!! As someone with tummy troubles, it’s also amazing at keeping you regular (sorry if TMI, but those who struggle with that know the importance!!).
I used to take Naturally Calm years ago. And it worked! My only issues was drinking that much liquid before bedtime meant I had to get up in the middle of the night! Kind of defeated the purpose, unfortunately! Now it’s just a magnesium supplement and lotsa lavender on my pillow.
