A Week In the Life, Vol 11.
What.a.week.
This is kind of crazy because remember when we felt January was long? These next few weeks will feel long but I pray they will be worth it! It seems like a small price to pay. I am actually looking forward to staying in with the kids without any commitments or need to leave, finishing up my next book (it’s due verrrry soon) and reading a bunch! Plus, I will still continue my normal work flow since I make recipes and take pics in my own kitchen.
P.S. do you see the rainbow in the pic above?
Roasted a bunch of carrots for a recipe that turned out SO well this week. Can’t wait to share.
This sky was just… WOWZA.
One of the kids’ favorite snacks/breakfasts. Peanut butter toast + strawberries.
A play on a lemon chicken recipe that is coming in my book. It’s so tender and juicy and might just be Eddie’s favorite meal right now.
The obsession is real: Emilia loves to brush my hair now. She also is still wearing her robe, in case you were wondering.
Max didn’t have school on Monday and he had a cold for the first half of the week. We play a LOT of check out/store/restaurant in this house.
His other favorite thing to do though? Any sort of art. He made this up himself. Loves glitter glue.
The kids get so excited to play in our bathtub. They don’t get baths in here because it’s too difficult to reach over and bathe them (it sits higher up) but they like to play without water. I foresee us playing in her for the next few weeks.
I made Eddie go out and buy every weight he needs from the gym so he would stop going. Haha. But no, really. No need to step foot in a gym now.
Made a fresh lime margarita on Friday night and it was just so good. This is my recipe.
We got a few sad donuts for a weekend treat! We thought they were pretty gross, but the kids liked them. That’s what counts!
After you have really good donuts, you can’t take the not-so-good ones.
First half of the week was GORGEOUS.
THIS girl.
Made us crispy chicken salads today! Saved it to my highlights.
Guess I shouldn’t keep the kids in their PJs all day this week…
Emilia’s snack plate lunch. Mashed avocado (she calls it abacado and it’s so darn cute), chips, cucumbers, tillamook cheese and blueberries.
Then I made a big pot of chicken and dumplings and took half over to my mom!
I also made this party mix for friends and family and while I kept some for us, I have a feeling I will be majorly regretting this decision in 48 hours when I can’t stop eating it.
xoxo

I love Emilia’s spring sweatshirt with the little flowers. I wonder if they make that in adult size??? Because I would wear that.
Also, I hear ya on the doughnut issue. Once you’ve had amazing doughnuts, you just can’t stand the crapp ones. I haven’t touched Dunkin in years; all I taste is grease now from them. Doughnut Plant in NYC spoiled me, as did pretty much any doughnut found in Amish Country, haha.
Stay safe and well!!
Do you have a Peloton? Do you like it? Considering one given the current situation!!!
If I lived closer (and we weren’t on quarantine) I’d come over to play with Max and Emilia all day long. Thank you for always being such a bright ray of light on the internet. I look forward to your posts every day. Hugs from Texas.
