June Favorites.
A peek at everything I loved in June 2022!
FOOD
Nightingale Ice Cream Sandwiches. Ohhh my gosh. Got these after seeing an IG story by Ashley Spivey and they are so good. The fat banana and strawberry shortcake are delicious. I order them on Goldbelly. They are huge and easy to split or enjoy over a few days!
Mad Minis Ice Cream Sandwiches. Apparently it’s ice cream sandwich month because we discovered these at Target and fell in love. They are the COMPLETE opposite of the above. They are tiny and soft and absolutely addictive. Delicious.
My lemon chicken pasta salad has been on repeat. I have it in the fridge right now and we just love it.
HOME
Hydroflask Cooler Tote. This is my mom cooler tote. I’ve always used one, but it’s been a smaller lunchbox style. That doesn’t work now with three kids, but I still wanted something small, soft, lightweight and moldable (i.e. can it be shoved under a stroller?) and this is it. It is so great – I fill it with fruit, yogurts and anything that needs to stay cool when we go out.
Aura Photo Frame. GUYS!! I have now bought this as a gift for five family members. We can’t get enough. It is so incredible – I got one for Eddie for Father’s Day for his office. I love that I can add to it whenever I want. You add photos on the app and they come up on the frame – it is just such a great gift. I cannot recommend this enough. I know I’ve mentioned it before but it’s worth repeating. Also, I get the vertical one, since that is the orientation of most of my photos.
Golden Coil Notebooks. I absolutely love the golden coil I got a few months ago. The past few years I have used an academic year planner and the options to customize a planner (or notebook!!) here are incredible.
BEAUTY
Tarte Juicy Lip Plump. I’m obsessed with this. These are so glossy and nourishing and soft and pretty! I have three colors and have them on me at all times.
Sephora Pro Powder Brush #50. This is the best bronzing and blush brush. I love it. I’ve had my old Marc Jacobs ones for YEARS and love those (will never get over them discontinuing the makeup line) but these are excellent! So perfectly shaped.
Suntegrity Tinted Sunscreen. I’ve used this for a few months now and just love it. I bought it on a whim when repurchasing some of my Marie Veronique stuff and this is so good! I love the coverage (it’s very light) and it doesn’t migrate into my eyes. I reach for it almost every day.
FASHION
Le Specs Air Heart Sunglasses. I’ve put these in my favorites for four or five years now and I still wear them every day. They are so comfortable and I love the colors they come in now. Definitely my favorite sunglasses of all time.
Espadrille Wedge Sandals. These are SO COMFORTABLE. I can’t even express how comfortable these are. That is what sold me on them – I could wear them for hours and hours. Also very flattering in the summer! It says to size up, and I did go up 1/2 size.
9seed Cover Up. This is my third summer using these and I adore them. They are so lightweight, super pretty and double as a dress. I seriously live in this in the summer months. They are pricey, but I wash mine constantly (air dry) and they hold up great. I also love the Tunisia Caftan.
MEDIA
Every Summer After. This book. I am still thinking about it! I loved it SO much.
The Summer I Turned Pretty. It’s a show on Prime and I can’t get enough. Which is weird, since it’s about teens, but still! It’s so quintessential summer love and I really enjoyed it.
This episode of You’re Wrong About on Martha Stewart is so good.
KIDS
Towel Throw On. My kids have had these in the summer since Max was a toddler and they LOVE them. They are so great for getting out of the pool – after a quick dry, you just throw this on them. It dries them more and keeps them warm. Mine even ask to wear them around the house!
The Uppababy G Luxe Stroller. I had this umbrella stroller with Max and this is the newest version – I LOVE IT. It’s 15lbs, very compact, easy to open and close and great for napping. It’s a lifesaver right now.
Slumberpod. I was really on the fence and thought I’d hate this, but wow – this worked wonders when we traveled. All of us in one hotel room – I am convinced this helped Jordan go to sleep! He is a luckily a great sleeper but now getting old enough to realize if he is in a different spot and this was incredible. Only downside is that I couldn’t get my Nanit monitor to work with it. My regular motorola monitor does work though!
Monda Llama Watercolor Brush Pens. I got these for Max and Emilia and they LOVE them.

I’m also on an ice cream sandwich kick! Got the Nightingale ones, and I’m also obsessed with the Coolhaus mini ones from Whole Foods!
I was shocked to see you share Nightingale ice cream sandwiches – they are local to Richmond, VA and SO DELICIOUS. We had them at our wedding in 2018 back when the owners would deliver directly to you. I love that they have grown so much and that now folks outside of our area can experience how good they are.
I have the slumber pod with the Nanit! The way I make it work is just stick the Nanit in the opening and zip it up (this is using the travel stand). I baciallg anchor the Nanit by zipping it into the closure. I zip it into the part between the camera and the round base. I did this with my first and I’m doing it with my second when we travel/visit family. I hope it works for you, too :)
so did you stick it in the top opening (for the monitor?). my nanit travel stand didn’t seem to work! the camera wouldn’t stay plugged in so everytime i set it in, it would fall out. also, the nanit camera would only pick up the plastic covering and not jordan in the crib??
I don’t use the  monitor section of the slumber pod. I use the actual opening, like where the baby goes in. I just balance the monitor at the top by putting the zipper around the nanit I hope I’m explaining this well.
We also love the Nightingale sandwiches and get them from Goldbelly. Our favorite is Key Lime!
I binged The Summer I Turned Pretty over the weekend and am OBSESSED despite definitely not being the target market. Cannot wait for the next season and can’t even decide if I’m Team Conrad or Team Jeremiah!!
