A Week In The Life, Vol 15.
It was another beautiful week here!
Max had half the week off from school for easter/spring break and it was just gorgeous out. The kids had so much fun together that it has me super excited for summer.
I want her exact sunglasses in my size.
Max was verrrry excited about this lifesize yoshi chalk drawing!
I grilled dinner so many nights this week. Whyyyyy is asparagus on the grill just so darn good?
Everything is blooming like crazy.
Bubble fun! The easter bunny brought some of these huge bubble wands.
Emilia and I ran to the greenhouse because I wanted to get ice plant before it sells out. It sells out by May, every year like clockwork. Now I just have to keep it alive for another month until I can plant it.
I’ve never been to a greenhouse this early in the year – it was crazy how un-bloomed everything was!
Cutest little deck hockey bubba.
Emilia is obsessed with watching him and screaming his name. It kills me,
How much more neon can we get?!
I love this picture I captured.
I love this one even more! If you grew up with a love of reading, is there any better sight than this?!
I had a great reading weekend too!
Best little helper. This is the ice plant! Kind of looks like a succulent but isn’t. Gets really cute hot pink flowers in the summer.
This is the real athlete of the family?
Finally made my grilled vegetable orzo for dinner.
IT WAS HEAVEN!
How was your weekend?! I hope you have a great week!

I’ve never heard of Ice plant and I live in Pittsburgh also. Where do you get it?
We had the same plant hanging on our front porch the pat 2 years. Don’t remember what they’re called (here in northern IL) but I was able to save one of them over the winter in the basement. We also save our geraniums so we have a light that is on for 12 hours a day. These plants do so well in the sun because they retain so much water – like a succulent actually even though it isn’t one. For the most part, these get watered only every week or so. You’re right – the flowers are so pretty.
Emilia’s hot pink heart sunglasses are EVERYTHING!!! It looks so nice and warm where you are! It’s still rainy and kinda cold where I am in Atlantic Canada (go figure lol) so I’m feeling the sun through your picsÂ
I made asparagus last week and I swear it was the best I’ve ever made, and I roasted mine like I always do and couldn’t figure out what I did differently, Can’t wait to see a pic of those blooming flowers. Love that they are still BFF’s. Umm how was Emilia not wearing neon sunglasses to go with that awesome outfit? Is she still all about the accessories?
Do you use a grill basket for the asparagus? Thanks!
i adore these posts! and have to say…emilia and i are truly fashion twins :)Â
What is the material/device you grilled the veggies on? It looks so helpful!Â
