Chocolate Peanut Butter PEEPS Skillet S’mores! {VIDEO}
Let’s see. Peeps s’mores! OMG.
How can I manipulate you to into throwing your Easter candy in a skillet with chocolate chips and convincing your friends that it’s dessert? Pull up a seat and grab a graham cracker.
Maybe because it takes less than ten minutes?
Because chocolate peanut butter… anything?
Because I really was going to tell you about an insaaaaaane deviled egg today and pushed it back so you could learn about peeps s’mores?
(p.s. be sure to come back tomorrow for a fancy ass deviled egg.)
How to make Skillet Peeps S’mores:
This might be the most trashed up thing I’ve ever done here. Ever.
But! It’s so easy.
It’s so delicious and rich and simple.
And so PRETTY. It’s so neon. Like an 80s or 90s s’more explosion.
Can this skillet wear legwarmers?
Apparently skillet s’mores were a big thing in 2014. I never did it. Never road that train. Didn’t jump on that bandwagon. Never climbed that mountain.
I was MISSING OUT.
So were you. After all, who doesn’t want peeps s’mores in a skillet?!
Here’s the thing. We were never a peeps family when I was growing up.
None of us liked peeps.
We never found peeps in our Easter baskets.
In fact, I actually loathed peeps.
Not all the sparkly sugared hot pink and purple bunnies or chicks in the world could change my mind.
(Though I’m pretty sure that back in the day, peeps only came in yellow.)
However, I think at one point my youngest brother decided that HE liked peeps, so peeps were very slowly introduced in our household.
Then, I learned.
I learned that…
PEEPS were MARSHMALLOWS.
I mean, yeah, of course I knew that they were marshmallows, or at least, like, marshmallow-y, but I didn’t realize that they were actually… marshmallows.
First of all, I know that it sounds utterly ridiculous. Crazy too.
But it wasn’t until that realization that I started to enjoy peeps as how they should be eaten: in marshmallow-y things.
I don’t love marshmallows on their own (with the exception of homemade ones) but I obviously love them in s’mores, brownies, cookies, s’mores, cake, frosting and s’mores.
Do you think I love s’mores?
I kind of love s’mores. Besides my insane infatuation with s’mores.
So while you’ll never find me eating a peep in it’s, uh, purest form, you probably can find me shoving it between two graham crackers with a few bars of chocolate and a big slather of peanut butter.
Because, you know, this also means that you can have NEON s’mores.
I KNOW.
Hot pink s’mores. Purple s’mores. Blueish-greenish s’mores. Have you ever seen a more fun, more electric s’more?
I’m going to let you in on a secret. Err, not a secret. Just a note. Or something. The peanut butter that I used…?
Are you ready for this?
White chocolate coconut. White chocolate coconut peanut butter. You can obviously use whatever peanut butter you want. Let’s just say that white chocolate peanut butter + chocolate + peeps + s’mores is my own personal heaven. Well, that and maybe Zack Morris or Pacey Witter.
Feeding me the peeps s’mores. Isn’t that everyone’s heaven?
Finally.
Peeps S’mores
Chocolate Peanut Butter PEEPS Skillet S'mores
Ingredients
- 3 cups chocolate chips, I use a dark and milk mix
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 packages of PEEPS marshmallows, obviously more if you want all the colors
- graham crackers for serving
Instructions
- Place the chocolate chips in a 9-inch oven-safe skillet in an even layer. Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter on top of the chocolate chips. Cover with an layer of peeps – you can stuff them in there! You’ll need around 25 peeps.
- Heat the broiler on your oven to HIGH. Place the skillet underneath for 1 to 2 minutes, just until the marshmallows get golden and the chocolate chips are melting. Watch the skillet the entire time. If you find that the chocolate isn’t melted easily, turn the oven to 350 degrees F and let the skillet sit in there for a few minutes so it all melts. Serve immediately – carefully since it’s hot! – with graham crackers for dipping. OMG.

First, let me say this sounds AMAZING!!! I can’t wait to make it.
Second, my husband never had s’mores until I made them a year ago. Can you believe that? And he thought they were too rich. He’s Canadian, so he gets a little slack. LOL
Third, I can’t believe you didn’t make these with Nutella! I can’t eat peanut butter, so I will try it with Nutella. I can’t wait to make this. Did I mention it looks delicious?!!! :D
Oh my god, I love how you lined all the peeps up so cute and then proceeded to burn their faces off!!!!!
It look and sound amazing! Need to try it!
Love this! I once made a s’mores pie with peeps as the toppers but it was for valentine’s day so it was all pink/red/white. Love all the colors here for easter!
Is this real life?!? How can something so amazing be real…..
That does not sound ridiculous! I have never thought about Peeps being actual marshmallows until I saw this recipe. I sort of hate Peeps on their own, but this looks fabulous! Also, a generic non-Peeps s’mores skillet still blows my mind. And I see myself serving this at every party I go to this year.
