Currently Crushing On.
Hello weekend!
I’m am SO excited that February is here! I know that everyone says it, but this year truly felt like the first time that January just went on and on and… on. And on! Nothing terrible happened, everything was good, but it was long and dreary. I’m grateful to be out.
This weekend we have an engagement party for my brother and his fiance! It’s a fun way to kick off the month and then I’m going to be obnoxious about Valentine’s Day until the 14th. Woohoo!
I did share my January beauty favorites and food + fun favorites this past week. Check ’em out.
Hope you have a fabulous weekend. xoxoxo
A list of what I love on the internets this week:
Coconut cashew energy bites. Making for meal prep!
Desperately want these salted brownie cookies.
I love this well-kept kitchen challenge!
Honey garlic chicken with cauliflower rice! Need to try the rice. I must.
How pretty is this blood orange chia pudding!
Lemon greek yogurt waffles. Delish.
These bloody marys are insane. Must make one.
Hot chocolate pops! Too cute.
Love this homemade valentine’s day scented play dough. Cute!
Creamy orecchiette turkey bolognese! I’m in it.
How to eat salad everyday and like it!
Buffalo cauliflower with blue cheese dip. Yes please.

The playdough idea is cute but fake playdough that is not cooked does not last very long at all.
I made playdough on a regular basis for my kindergarten classroom and found that the recipes calling for cooking the ingredients lasted much longer and were much more like real playdough in texture and feel. The non-cooked recipes get very dry very quickly and also last only a very short time.
Adding “stuff”… glitter and scent is fun…especially for specific activities and projects. We always made gingerbread scented/colored dough in December for pretend cookie baking in the house area.
I made the creamy orecchiette turkey bolognese last night with a few minor tweaks…it.is.amazing 😍
