April Favorites: My Beauty Picks for the Spring Sephora VIB Sale!
It’s spring sale time at Sephora!!
This is one of my favorite sales because I get to grab lots of my favorite skincare along with some items for spring and summer. While it feels completely different this year, I still wanted to share some of my faves. I went through and chose 15 things that I use and love (and rambled about why, haha!) below… and then you can also see what’s in my cart for the sale!
Last year I shared a huge round up of my favorite sephora sale items for spring and summer, if you want to check that out. The VIB Rouge sale is in full effect and the VIB sale starts today, with beauty insiders starting Thursday. The code is SPRINGSAVE, but it only works if you’re a Sephora rewards member!
Be sure to let me what you’re grabbing!
[Just note, I didn’t even know if I was going to share this post – the sale started last week for VIBs and while it is extremely frivolous with everything going on and I’m not even in a shopping mood, I had so many of you asking me if the post was coming. I decided to share in case you’re going to be shopping the sale. xo ]
15 of My Favorite Items from the Sephora Spring Sale
Sunday Riley Good Genes. This is absolutely my holy grail, can’t live without, desert island product. I use this every other night and it’s incredible. It removes texture from my face in one use. It makes my skin so much brighter. It’s fantastic!
Drunk Elephant The Littles. Not that we can travel anytime soon, but for years this has been my go-to travel pack for summer! It’s also great if you want to try the brand.
Slip Silk Pillowcase. I can’t live without this! I got mine when I first got lash extensions and haven’t slept without it since. I even travel with one. It’s great for hair and skin too.
Tata Harper Resurfacing Glow Mask. I live for this mask! I do this mask every Saturday or Sunday and my skin is much brighter after. I swear it also removes some of the texture.
Tan Luxe Self Tan Oil. In my opinion, this is the best way to self tan! While I still love to use St Tropez, these drops are a little more foolproof and have you more control over the color. It looks a bit more natural too.
Marc Jacobs Eyeconic Palette. These are my favorite palettes! As a recovering eye shadow palette freak, I adore these because you still get six shades, the formula is creamy and buttery and it’s slim enough to fit in a makeup bag for travel.
Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter. I use this every single day! Whether I mix it with tinted moisturizer or actual foundation, it’s great and gives you such a wonderful glow.
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. I keep a few bottles of the cream in different rooms of the house. It’s SO moisturizing. It’s fragrance free. It’s great for eczema.
Fresh Sugar Bloom Lip Color. This is my most worn lip color. It’s so flattering and the best part? You don’t need a mirror to put it on. It’s also very moisturizing.
Indie Lee Squalane Facial Oil. Speaking of moisturizing, if you’re in the market for a facial oil, this one is phenomenal. It’s very basic so it won’t interfere with other skincare. It’s light enough to mix with foundation or night cream. It’s the best I’ve found.
Caudalie Moisturizing Toner. I’ve possibly been using this product the longest! It’s super mild and as the name suggests, moisturizing. I use this both morning and night with an exfoliating cotton round.
Living Proof Restore Perfecting Spray. I have been LOVING this leave in spray lately. It’s not heavy at all and it doesn’t weigh down my hair. It also smells great.
Sol De Janeiro Bum Bum Cream. Couldn’t leave a favorites without mention of my favorite spring and summer body cream. This is caramel/vanilla/pistachio scented and practically edible. Adore it.
Too Faced Born This Way Sculpting Concealer. This has been my go-to concealer for the last year (maybe more?) when I decided I just didn’t love Shape Tape. A little bit of this goes a long way, so it lasts forever.
T3 Whirl Trio Styling Wand. I always gets lots of questions when my hair is wavy or curled, and this is the wand I use! I’ve had this for years and it’s fantastic.
And what’s in my cart!
I will restock a few of my favorite skincare items that rarely go on sale. This is the time to get them! Notably, Dr Dennis Gross Peel Pads, Drunk Elephant LaLa Cream, Good Genes and Biossance Peptide Eye Gel.
This is also the BEST time to buy any perfumes, because those never go on sale! My favorite summer scents are Tom Ford Soleil Blanc and Philosophy Fresh Cream.
Kosas Moisturizing Baked Bronzer. As of right now, the shade I want of this is sold out. I’m hoping it comes back in stock. I really like this brand!
Urban Decay Lash Primer. Since my lash extensions are gone, I’m attempting everything to make them dramatic!
Playa Salt Scrub Shampoo. I love a good scalp scrub shampoo and so does Eddie. We’re going to try this one.
Supergoop Glow Screen. I got a sample of this a few weeks ago. I LOVE it, but it cant get anywhere near your eyes. Which sounds obvious, but I mean, not even close to your under eyes. It will migrate and sunscreen eyes? Awful.
[as usual, none of this is sponsored and all of these products were purchased by me. i am not affiliated with any of the companies above, nor do i accept free products. just love to talk about what i like, makeup junkie to makeup junkie. there are some amazon and general reward style affiliate links above. thank you for being here!]

Just curious, do you use any prescription strength skincare items at this point?
i don’t! and i always said i wanted to wait until i was done having kids to use retinol, but i have been trying the sunday riley A+ and drunk elephant retinol lately. i haven’t really found a need to any prescription based yet. i have bought a few medspa only/dermatologist brands from dermstore, but other than that, nope!
I picked up the new DE scalp scrub and I can’t wait to use it, I also bought the Sol de Janeiro perfume because I want to smell like it all summer!

I finally bit the bullet and bought the Sunday Riley Good Genes and OH MYLANTA! It’s a game changer!! I have been using half a pump, twice a day, every day for a week, and the transformation is incredible!! I think I’m going to cut down to every other day now though, but I am a convert for life! Desert island product, indeed!! I also got a sample of the Bum Bum cream with my order and it’s so good. I want to eat my hands, haha! Thanks for sharing and sending you all a big virtual hug! I’m a preschool teacher and missing my students soooo much! I love seeing pics and videos of Max and Emilia, and it helps more than you know <3 <3
I used to love the bum bum cream until I put this on my legs: https://www.sephora.com/product/creme-de-corps-soy-milk-honey-whipped-body-butter-P422269. It makes them so smooth and melds into the skin very well.
Did you know that Sephora let most of their US employees go via conference call at the beginning of the pandemic. I will have to find these products someplace else as I will never shop at Sephora again.
i made a few orders for the sale. i got Peter Thomas Roth PotencyC vitamin C cream/lotion and their new niacinimide cream. shamefully pricey i know. i got a trial size of the milk vegan face wash to try. i really like the DE jelly cleanser but its so pricey was it always more than $30 ? i got a few The Ordinary products to see if my boyfriend will use them. He seems willing to try something in a dropper vs a cream? and the packaging is basic. and if he doesnt really use it much i wont be breaking the bank. got some herbivore and sol de jinaero body oil to give as gifts. and the tarte beauty sponge because i saw someone rave about it online ?
i also got the charlotte tilbery airbrush powder…why ? i dont know. cuz i had a gift card ?
i feel confident that at least if i dont love the products i can return them. i often use this sale to try one or two things that are pricey and if i dont love it…it goes back. i’ll report back when i try things. im glad you did the post !
