summer fridays

Happy summer friday! Here’s what’s happening this weekend.

EATING

I can’t get enough of my green bean crunch salad and my triple melon salad. Both are so refreshing and wonderful. I’ve also made my chimichurri grilled chicken on repeat (Eddie’s fave) and my black pepper balsamic strawberry pasta salad. YES.

DRINKING

The sparkling cocktails are calling my name this week, like my sparkling rosé aperol spritz (the frozen peaches are legit) and my sparkling rosé pimms cup!

MAKING

My lemon chicken pasta salad that is SO DARN GOOD.

BAKING

My greek yogurt lemon loaf. The kids love this one so much.

SNACKING

On these granola scones. One of my favorite things I’ve shared all year. These are the best make-ahead breakfast/snack.

CRAVING

My grilled peach pizza with corn and chili garlic sauce. OMG. I just made another peach pizza for you last week that is coming soon. It’s amazing.

GRILLING

I have been grilling nonstop for dinner – it’s just so easy, the cleanup is minimal and I love when everything can be done on the grill. I’ve made my gorgonzola potatoes a bunch, this goat cheese stuffed grilled zucchini and my charred corn prosciutto salad, which is a perfect summer house salad too.

READING

Starting Vacationland by Meg Mitchell Moore! Here’s my weekly reminder for the big summer reading list.

LISTENING

A new summer fun nights playlist. This one is just so good!

WEARING

I am LOVING this easy breezy coverup. I have the white, but the other colors are amazing too. It’s so light and simple and perfect. Like everything I always want in a white button down coverup. Can I also just tell you how obsessed I am with these neon pink slides? They are SO comfortable – they are by Vionic so they are basically orthopedic shoes (ha!) and I can walk miles in them. I bought a Steve Madden version of slides like that last year and they were huge and enormously chunky and so unflattering – these ones are so much better. Plus, COLOR!

LOVING

I can’t get over how much I love my friend Bridget’s art. This heart one! Her studio is filling with such incredible fun and color.

SHOPPING

This week, Max caught a baseball at his face, which broke his sunglasses and ended up slicing his skin, requiring stitches. We already are big sunscreen people already, so the kids are used to it. But Lacy told me about this zinka nosecoat that we can use on the scar – and Max is already so excited about the colors.

TRAVELING

We aren’t traveling anywhere this week, but I have a handful of travel favorites that I had to mention. This portable fan is the best. I have a few of them – I mostly use them on the stroller, but you can put them on your peloton/bike, twist them onto anything, etc. They are great. I also adore this cooler tote. I am the biggest fan of huge yeti coolers but with the kids we have limited space. A soft, lightweight tote like this is easier for me to pack and manage on my own for the day, I also love this smaller hydroflask version even for taking yogurt and fruit on the go. Should I just do a whole travel favorites post?! Reminder that you can find all my monthly favorites right here.

CELEBRATING

Nothing huge to celebrate this week but we’re going to an amusement park today for our school’s picnic and um, it’s like I’ve basically packed for vacation, so….
