Peaches and Cream Baked Oatmeal Cups.
We love these baked peaches and cream oatmeal cups! They taste as good as the instant oatmeal I loved as a kid. Make these ahead of time meal prep – they are wonderful for breakfast or a snack!
I could write a love letter to peaches and cream oatmeal.
These peaches and cream oatmeal cups are a delish, portable way to enjoy some fresh peach flavor in a satisfying bite all at the same time. You can make these for breakfast or a snack and they are wonderful warm or cold.
I am living for peach season! Usually I get one one or two good peaches a year, with the rest being mealy and either too hard or ripe. But this year we’ve got so many good ones, and on top of that I got a peach truck order and found myself with approximately ten million peaches.
Okay, maybe it was more like thirty peaches, but still. I needed to do all the things with peaches. Sweet, savory, you name it.
Including making one of my most favorite comfort foods of childhood: peaches and cream oatmeal. I already have a peaches and cream oatmeal recipe right here, but these cups are where it’s at. They are make-ahead friendly, perfect for meal prepping and great when you need something to grab-and-grow.
It’s nothing new – I have rambled for years about how instant peaches and cream oatmeal was my thing as a kid. I loved it – I had it for breakfast and on the off chance that I didn’t, I may have eaten it for dinner or a snack. There was something so comforting about it to me, something so artificially peachy and delicious. And the best part was that my brothers had zero interest in it, so a box of it would last a long time at our house.
Even in college I would buy a box occasionally from the little shop in my dorm, just to get that cozy comforting feeling back sometimes.
I decided that I had to make a version of peaches and cream oatmeal cups, because we all love my almond butter oatmeal cups so much. They are chewy, satisfying, taste amazing and you can make a bunch of them at one time. Which is always a win.
P.S. these are my favorite muffin tins and the best to use for this recipe.
There was a moment where I almost incorporated cream cheese into these – really going for the whole “cream” element from peaches and cream. But I decided against it. That wasn’t a flavor at the forefront in those oatmeal packets I loved so much. So I used a combo of milk and cream instead and it’s so good.
My almond butter cups also use bananas, but I didn’t want to do that here – obviously. We’re talking peach! Not banana. So I used applesauce to maintain the moisture and a little sweetness in the cups. It’s great and doesn’t add any apple flavor whatsoever.
I love these so much. They are a great summer version of my oatmeal cups with the perfect punch of peach!

These look great! Could I use frozen peaches?
yes! you just need to thaw them first so you can dice them. i would pat off any excess liquid with a paper towel too.
Looks great! But how would you store them?
i keep mine in the fridge but they are fine at room temp for a few hours – like if you want to grab them and take them somewhere for a snack.
Looks wonderful! Can you make up a big batch for a sleepover and freeze them? How best to thaw/reheat and serve? Thanks jess!
These look delish! It is possible to use steel-cut oats instead?
this recipe only works with the rolled old fashioned oats (and maybe instant), but not steel cut. steel cut require a different ratio of liquid and bake time because they are coarser!
These look wonderful! Could I use a plant based milk and/or cream as a substitute?
I substituted plain Nutpods Creamer for both the milk and the cream in the recipe and they turned out wonderfully!
Could I use frozen or canned peaches?
I saw the recipe and had peaches. Came together quickly and they are delicious. Perfect for a quick grab for breakfast!!
These are on my list to make this week, once I get peaches! Also, what muffin pan do you use? I’m in need of a new one!
Made these for breakfast this week and a great recipe! I enjoy eating them warm with a splash of milk – basically summer comfort in a bowl. So good!
I made this a few days ago. I was lazy and just baked it all in a cake pan…worked perfectly and tasted amazing! The almond slices added a nice texture to the dish.
oh, thank you for writing this. We just moved and I cannot find my muffin tins. Wanted to try this before my peaches so bad so was just going to try them in a pan. Thanks!
So good! I subbed with what I had on hand (apples and maple syrup and baked all in one pan) and it still turned out amazing. Have peaches on my grocery list to make again this week.
What kind of cream is used? Heavy cream? Whipping cream?
either kind works! i suggest whichever version you’d get more use out of in your fridge.
Made these for breakfast this morning & they were delicious. Made them with two “flax eggs” since we have egg allergies in our house. My husband wished they were a little sweeter, but I enojoyed them as is. Definitely will come in handy for busy school mornings!
I thought I messed something up because the liquid mixture didn’t quite incorporate with the oat mixture when I was spooning into the muffin tin, but man oh man were these delish! I’ve already eaten 3 and I need to put the rest away so I have breakfast for the rest of the week! Even my 2 year old couldn’t get enough. Wish peach season was longer!

These were so tasty! Had a bit of trouble getting them out of the pan but it ended up ok. I put a little bit of cream over top and done sliced almonds. Waiting for my daughter to try them to see if I have a new healthy breakfast option for her.
I’ve made this recipe three times this month. Everyone has loved them. They keep nicely in the fridge and reheat in the microwave. For a special treat I topped it with a small scoop and ice cream or a dollop of yogurt. The grandkids devoured it.
