Apple Cider Sangria.
Want to know what I’m thinking today?
Besides how giddy I am that Scott Speedman is back on cable television?
And besides how I don’t know if I can handle not ever knowing WHAT happened to Mark Sloan on Grey’s?
That this week deserves a big, cold glass of sangria.
It has been… a week. Uh huh. And it was “a week” AFTER I had this sangria last weekend. Fair? I think not.
Sooooo. You know, I’m all about the chilly weather cocktails. Last year I made pomegranate vanilla sangria along with apple cider margaritas, and now I’m like why didn’t I ever just make apple cider sangria? I don’t know. Sometimes I am just totally clueless.
Oh and I’m also freaking out over the fact that pomegranate season is HERE! Only one of my favorite fruits, um… EVER.
But it’s not about poms today, it’s all about the apples. I guess it’s been all about the apples all week, yes? Huh. Sorta crazy over them.
They only get better in sangria. Trust me.

This recipe is great not too sweet. Some called for caramel vodka and they are way too sweet for my taste. I make this every year for my fall party, so good!

Won’t you lose all the fizz of the club soda putting it in that long before serving ?
Just wondering if I you put it in with all other ingredients or wait until you serve it ?
Thanks !!!
Thanks for this recipe, I make this all the time (not just in the fall!). It’s an absolute favorite in all my circle. I’ve started using regular brandy and then using ginger ale instead of club soda (because I usually have some on hand anyway).

Delish!
I have made this a number of times and it just keeps getting better! I add 2 cinnamon sticks and I like to make it at least 24 hours in advance. Such a great recipe!

Where can you find gingered brandy?
hi lisa! i can usually find it at my liquor store? it’s with the rest of the brandy. if you can’t find it, you can always use apple brandy too!
I’m so sorry, I wanted to love this, I did, I tried. I’m guessing it was my brand of ingredients? The flavors just never melded, all we tasted was wine and the ginger brandy was terrible, so chemical-y and gross. I was really disappointed. Maybe leave the brands of liquors you used and I can try to find those? I didnt think I bought anything cheap but it just didnt work at all. ( sad face!)
You sound like you might be me! I hate ginger anything.. nasty taste!! Just try a regular brandy or apple brandy next time.

wondering if the club soda should be added at the beginning and have it sit for the hour plus before serving or whether it should be added right before serving to preserve the carbonation
