A Week In The Life, Vol 34.
Another week of summer down!
I am so weirdly emotional about summer ending! The fall is always my favorite time of year and I’ve loved this time for as long as I can remember – even in the years where I was out of school and I didn’t have kids. But this year, I’m just so sad!
I knew this summer would be unlike any other, with having a new baby. Technically getting more time with the kids (all the recipes you’ve seen the last two months were ones I shot before Jordan was born!) and snuggling my last baby. I’m so sad that it’s coming to an end. It’s like everything at once – Max starting school again (like, for “real” – first grade – it’s serious!), Emilia going to school for the first time, all coinciding with the end of the “4th trimester” and Jordan growing more. I’m just a ball of emotion! It’s like I’m having one of those moments where I know my kids are as little as they are ever going to be.
So this upcoming week is our last full week of summer break and I want to make the most of it.
These two played together SO MUCH this week, it blew my mind. I mean, they always play together but they played for HOURS on end. It’s like they subconsciously know that school is starting soon and they won’t have their days together.
Um hello this is my favorite sight.
Garden veggie PJs!
What are these flower plants with the little pepper like things?!
Made my grilled buffalo chicken sandwiches for dinner one night.
The kids were asking for my pumpkin muffins. These are THE BEST.
And made a batch of my coconut zucchini bread. OMG this is SO GOOD. And if you use vegan chocolate chips, it’s vegan!
Max got a haircut and wanted to model it with his “creepy face.” As you can see, he is still in his Nike obsession.
I want to eat him up.
Took a little trip to one of our favorite places.
This is why I love the Doona so much!
I’d like to live in this.
Our morning wake ups are the best.
My most favorite girl ever.
Happiest boy!!
Max had a giggle attack while playing outside and kept telling me to take pictures of his posing like this. It was absolutely hilarious! He was laughing so hard.
Can’t get enough of my little loves!

They are so precious!!!! 💗
You said it right – It’s like I’m having one of those moments where I know my kids are as little as they are ever going to be. Our two boys are the same ages and around the same birthdays as Max and Emilia. 1st grade IS serious! And preschool for our little guy! Can time just slow down a little?! Love your blog!
Eddie has some hella strong genes, Jessica! It’s like all you did was incubate your kids.
Someone finally recognizing my contributions 🙌
Awww! My youngest just turned 17 and I miss those days so much!! And your littlest one is starting to look like Max!!! He has his eyes and nose❤
Where are all these cute food onesies from? The cutest!
most of the food ones are from little sleepies!! they have been my favorite PJs for the kids for awhile, they are so silky soft and light!

Ah so nice. It’s also fun to watch them grow too.
My girls are 15 and 21 now.
I think the most exciting times are when they are all of a sudden changed.
You’ll look at them and realize somethings is different.
……and it can happen over night.
Ornamental Pepper plants!
That watermelon onesie! Love the garden veggie one too. Enjoy this last real(?) week of summer!
Oh Mama, I know how you are feeling, my oldest turns 13 soon and I just really want to freeze time!
The plant looks like it could be Thai Chilli Peppers…. definitely edible, possibly quite spicy! Let us know when you try them!
