summer 2020 reading list

It’s here! Summer reading is the best reading, am I right? Even if most of us can’t be on a beach this year, I’m ready for these books to transport me there.

And YOU GUYS!! This list is absolutely insane. I can’t believe how many books are on it. In all my years of doing the summer reading lists, this year by far holds the most books AND the most potential! It’s like the universe knew that we would need to escape through books this summer and these amazing writers released everything just in time.

Now this is just what’s ON my list. A few I have read, but most I have not. You can always see what I’ve read in my monthly book recaps and if you follow me on goodreads, you can see what I’m reading in real time. I love putting this list together because I revisit it the rest of the year (and even longer) to find my next read.

I love it!

Also, have you joined our book club yet?! You can join here on instagram and the secret facebook group!

The books below are listed with release date too. I cannot even wait for some of them to come out! I linked most of the books below with bookshop.org which is a way to support local, independent bookstores. You can find the full reading list here! And I also did create a section for it in my amazon shop for your ease, but highly suggest shopping through Bookshop to support our local stores. Nothing on this post is sponsored, but there are some affiliate links below.

Also! If you’re new around here, you should know that I’m a crazy unapologetic certified fan of most types of women’s fiction (and yes of course chick-lit!). Light, fun, beachy reads are my fave. I’m not super into anything that resembles a harlequin romance. I read to escape, to get lost in the story, to feel like the characters are my friends. And I actually love the day after I finish a great book and can’t even stand to start a new one because I’m mourning my new (character) friends.

I can’t WAIT to hear your recommendations in the comments, what you’re reading now and what’s on your list!
