Currently Crushing On.
Hello hello!
This week on the blog, I shared my 2020 Thanksgiving timeline! Our gathering is super small this year but I’m still making all of our favorite dishes. I also shared this butternut white chicken chili, caesar salad with pizza croutons, pumpkin chocolate buttercrunch and 20 recipes to make for Thanksgiving if you don’t want turkey and stuffing!
As usual, you can find what to eat this week as long with a new week in the life post.
There’s also some new gift guides on the blog! You can find gift guides for:

Hey! Don’t know where to put this comment…would love it if you could do a post on making your gorgeous cookie boxes. I need tips on mailing these. Also, do the flavors of the cookies intermingle ? (like, if there’s a mint cookie, do they all taste like mint?) Since we are not seeing people we normally would see this year, I thought a cookie package would be a nice way to let them know we are thinking of them.
I already plan to put your Lemon Crinkles, Cranberry Cobbler Bars and the chocolate cookies with the jimmies (sprinkles) in there. The list keeps growing, lol.
cookie box post comes the day after thanksgiving!! :) i will include how i make the boxes – it is nothing special and i usually just cut pieces of other boxes up, haha!
however, i have never mailed them. i really haven’t had success in that arena (and most cookies i have received have ended up totally smashed and broken) – i’m think the key is probably lots of bubble wrap?!
i don’t think i would mail the cookies all placed IN the actual box, only because i know they would get broken :(
A few years back, I sent my dad homemade cookies every month (this was right before subscription boxes went huge). ANYWAYS,  the most success I had was using a shoe box that perfectly fit the container I was shipping and tons of wadded up plastic bags for protection (pack it in and make sure the container doesn’t move)Â
Secondly, when I went to summer camp, we had to bring a few dozen homemade cookies with us for snacks. Â We were encouraged to use Pringles cans so that might work to keep flavors separateÂ
This is so great…thank you!!
My husband’s VERY southern grandma makes oyster dressing each year for the holidays and it is his all time favorite dish! So much so, that she gave us a framed version of the recipe for a wedding gift 😂It would be fun to try the seafood version you linked here!
I love those turkey plates!
Oooh where are those cute turkey dishes from??
these were from pottery barn kids last year, but it looks like they are sold out now. they do still appear to have the bowls https://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/autumnal-turkey-bowls/?pkey=cthanksgiving-all
And this week you also shared MILK CHOCOLATE PUMPKIN BUTTERCRUNCH.
Loved it this buttercruchso much
Didn’t know if you already came across this or not, but Morphe cosmetics has a brand new eyeshadow palette … a Lisa Frank-themed-eyeshadow palette!
