Summer Fridays, Vol 8.
Happy summer fridays to you!
EATING
My broccoli slaw with or on everything. Marinated tomato BLTs! Corn peach and tomato salad with crispy quinoa too.
DRINKING
These watermelon grapefruit palomas. Also my new cucumber mint margarita which is SO refreshing. And also some coconut coffee soda. Yes please.
MAKING
Some pickled veggies for my pickled vegetable sandwich! It’s so good.
BAKING
Too hot to bake soooo… my salted pretzel s’mores crunch bars!
CRAVING
All the homemade ice creams. My salted cookie dough ice cream. Peanut butter oreo ice cream! Gimme.
GRILLING
My zucchini ribbon skewers. And grilled chicken caesar sandwiches! And this grilled pork tenderloin too.
LISTENING
To my summer kitchen playlist. It is still the absolute best!
READING
Right now I am reading John Green’s The Anthropocene Reviewed and I am LOVING it. Oh my gosh, it is so good. The book is filled entirely of things he reviews. Even things like scratch and sniff stickers. I am loving it.
WEARING
Um hi my fave align tank is now also in hot pink. I felt I had to alert you!
SHOPPING
Some of my favorite go-tos are on major sale right now. Like the slumberpod, this cake plate, this nursing bra. Meanwhile, I’m in search of the best beach/vacation toys or games for slightly older kids. I have the list for babies and toddlers down pat, but now I’m struggling! P.S. you can find my amazon favorites here, all separated by category.
LOVING
I can’t get over how much I love a few lip products right now. This tarte juicy lip plump, the lawless lip gloss, this dior shine lipstick in tie and dior. They all have a glossy feel and such a pretty look. They are all effortless and feel so soft on the lips too!
ADMIRING
This episode of bad on paper podcast with Carley Fortune is so good. All about her first book deal, writing it, the agent and publishing process and more.
SHARING
I shared my recipe for shishito peppers on instagram this week! I made these almost once a week in summer, we love them so much. I also shared videos of this blueberry peach coffee cake, crispy pistachio chicken, cucumber mint margaritas and grilled goat cheese stuffed zucchini.
LIVING
This is the first weekend in awhile that we haven’t had anything to do and I am living for it. I’ll be getting ready for our vacation later next week because I’m a crazy person and pack/prepare at least a week ahead of time to make sure I have everything.

I totally pack/prepare way early too! My husband teases me cuz I start meal planning for the next year the day we get home!
My son is 7 and we just went on vacation. We played a lot of UNO and Stack Attack. Also love Sorry and Skip Bo. We let him pick out a LEGO set when we reached our destination that he put together and played with most of the time. He also still plays with the little Hot Wheel like Monster Trucks with a little ramp thing I picked up at Target that can be rearranged into different ramps.
Spot it! Is a really fun game for kids. I think there is also a Spot it junior for younger kids. Added bonus, it’s small and portable so I’ve taken this on a lot of trips over the years!Â
Good to know you like that John Green book! I have it but haven’t started it yet.
I highly recommend this OgoSport frisbee game for older kids. We LOVE it so much. <a ref=https://www.amazon.com/Mini-Ogodisk-Super-Disk-Set/dp/B000ZME86U/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_sspa?crid=1TSS0QWD5ASAP&keywords=ogosport+disk+game&qid=1658687923&sprefix=ogosport+%2Caps%2C92&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzVlVTQ0g1VzFIWlNRJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNzEyNjY0MkVCUkcyTVlDWEZXTSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNjI2OTQ2UTU4OTExT0FHUUtaJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfcGhvbmVfc2VhcmNoX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=" Â target="_blank"
